Best sushi in hickory or surrounding area period.... Food comes in large portions plus taste great. Even when it's short staffed or crowded the meal still delivers and the sushi is always on point. Plus the staff have always been super nice to me and anyone I have brought in. My only complaint is I wish they could kick out subway and village inn (worst pizza ever) and expand.

We ate at this vintage restaurant at 1pm, there were people, but we didn’t wait for a table. The waitress welcomed us and was very kind, she explained every dish we asked about and suggested something just for us. The cooks are fast, food is good and prices are affordable. They gifted us with fortune cookies. I suggest to try it!

The food is awesome here and always fresh. Best Japanese take out imo. But here lately there's been communication issues when I order... TRY to order actually. Twice now I have ordered the chicken no mushroom add peppers and onions. Tonight I tried to order the same thing and added chicken. For pick up like always! ... Well! 2 people later I had to settle for onions and zucchini! Which was fine I like that also. But dear Lord, she honesty didn't believe that they had actually done that for me already! 🤯 Like, I'm not going to make it up because I have no reason to. For sake of argument (because she was definitely using the wrong tone with me. The consumer) I just said okay. Fine. I didn't need to hear how impossible it would've been for them to honor a SIMPLE VEGETABLE SWAP WITH MY MEAT ENTREE so therefore it couldn't have possibly been done before .... I know it's Friday night and you guys are slammed, but that's No excuse for the assertive condescending tone that Young lady used with me!!! I won't call this place again.

Love love love Sakura for their sushi. I usually get a rainbow roll, dragon roll, and tamago nirigi which are just delicious. Their soy sauce is also great and not found at many sushi spots. Their soy sauce wait staff are also so kind and work with a sense of urgency to tend to guests.
