Decided to try this restaurant for Valentines day they had a prefixed menu. Didnt think the price was worth the $157.00 for two. The service was ok and the guy coming around taking steak orders made a smart comment when I asked him a question. ( He said what is there to explain and didnt have a pleasant look on his face) It was 65 per person on my receipt i was charged 7 dollars extra for cheese and chives for the potato when i asked what the extra charge waa for. The salad and steak was decent. Restatant was clean!

My NY strip was full of grissel the cut i was served was smaller than the one that was cut at my table. Potato was cold and lumpy, cream Brulee' was so runny it was terrible, the cesar salad was Delicious. Disapointed.

Steak was amazing but service is bad . Our waitress took ages to come to us and took ages to even give us our check but was quick to check up on the big table that literally came in .didn’t even give us refill on water not once . I was in the restaurant for 2 hours most of the time was us waiting on our check. Like the food just not the service . We got places to be and don’t got time to be sitting around for our check just because you want to focus on the big table and not the other customers who’s been waiting and came first.

Before ordering our food. We let them know that we eat a kosher diet, no pork, no shellfish fish that does not have fans and scales, We ordered the Brussels sprouts without meal, needless to say. Needless to say, There was bacon in the Brussels sprouts..

Ordered prime rib with baked potato. Couldn’t even cut prime rib and potato was like it had been re-heated . 140.00 with tip for two people ,very disappointed,probably won’t be back .

Our 54th Anniversary dinner was made special at Charolais Steakhouse by truly delicious steak dinners with excellent server, Taylor P, who even filled in as a photographer for us. Taylor's suggestion of the Raspberry cheesecake for dessert was great.

Ordered steak med rare , came med to med well . Sent back from one cooked correct. Next steak came perfect. Them had some french fry cooker came to table and told me I needed to order my steak rare plus next time I came there . If I owned the place I would fire this guy on the spot .
Michelle is the greatest bartender ever and they have this ugly guy with a beard....but man his food tastes great ?

Easy to drive by, Don't let the exterior fool you. Once inside, The Charolais will give you the atmosphere of a New York City steakhouse. The steaks are beautiful and top-notch! He will literally bring the cut of meat to the table and slice it in front of you see you see exactly what you're getting. They have both dry and wet aged options. Nowhere else do I know of in Western North Carolina can you get this kind of beef. If you're going to spend money on a steak meal \ prime rib ... This is the place!

My husband and I went here for a date night. The atmosphere was incredible and just what we were hoping for. The food was fantastic…for appetizers we got the escargot and seafood melt. For dinner I had the crab cake meal and my husband had the filet and we both added the salad and soup bar. Every single thing was DELICIOUS. But what made our night was our waitress, April. She kept us laughing the whole time, while also providing top notch service. What an experience. Highly recommended. Best restaurant in Hickory.
