Great place for a date night. Our meal was good and the server was good. Drink orders took a while and the cocktails were the best but overall nice restaurant. We will be back.

We should have listened to the people that told us that the service at The Vintage House was lacking. The last time we were at the VIntage House was New Year's Eve of this year. The service was bad and the food was not much better. We have been loyal to the Vintage House for many years, but last night's dinner may have been the last!! I really can't say dinner, because after two hours, we had not been served our dinner. We had a 6:00 reservation. We arrived at 5:50. The restaurant was not busy. We were the third table seated. We placed a drink order which we received in a timely manner. We ordered appetisers, part of which arrived somewhat later. We also ordered rolls which were delivered, once again by the manager, after reminding the waiter that they had been ordered. Salads came about fifteen minutes later, one of which was not correct. After the salads arrived, it was as if we had been totally forgotten. At the one hour and 50 minute point. we called the waiter over to tell him that we wanted the check. Never having gotten our food, we paid the check for what we had been served and left. At this point, I really do not know if we will ever go back. We have been long standing customers of Vintage House, but last night may have been the final time!!

Dining at Vintage House is always a highly enjoyable experience! The servers are personable and professional, the food outstanding. I am always open to a new cocktail and the elder old fashioned with Empress gin was a winner!

Perfect spot for our anniversary dinner: Lovely classic cocktails, beautiful plating for each excellent course, and attentive, knowledgable service. Easy to see why, several decades later, Vintage House is STILL a must-go landmark restaurant in Hickory.

We visited Vintage House to celebrate our friends 40th birthday. I must say they were absolutely amazing throughout the whole entire process. Someone was available for me to drop off a cake prior to our dining reservation, we were greeted warmly when we arrived, and the staff was helped in taking pictures of our group together. The food and presentation was just perfect. Would definitely return again when I'm in the area. Thank you for an amazing evening celebrating our friends birthday!!!

Celebrated our anniversary there. Everything was excellent. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to celebrate our special occasion. Food was excellent. This is the same restaurant I proposed to my wife and we will continue to celebrate our anniversary there.

Great service all around, impressive place... will continue to be a place we go to for special occasions.

They somehow managed to be a classy fine dining establishment without being pretensious. Food presentation was as expected in a high dollar restaurant but portions were large enough to actually satisfy. A+all around

Food and service were good. I ordered an Old Fashioned with tequila instead of bourbon. They upcharged me double. Said their only reposado tequila was Herraduro. A nice tequila but not double the price. Manager never came to explain. Just a $25 cocktail that I didn't expect! Unacceptable! Never again!!

The food and service were good. Went for the Mother's Day brunch it was advertised as $50 a person, we ordered 1 drink each, received the bill, and it was almost $180, charged $20 for each drink, and then a 20% gratuity automatically added. Very unexpected and was very shocked, none of that was advertised at the time of booking.

This restaurant is very quaint. Has a nice size parking lot out back. Easy nice parking on the street out front. It's set up beautifully. Nice spacing between tables for that comfort and quiet. The cloth table cloths and napkins are a nice touch. The star of this establishment is the food and staff. Very attentive. Checked on us. The food was outstanding. Our waitress, Mackenzie made the experience 10 star. I would recommend this restaurant for date night, special occasions or just want a great overall dining experience.

Vintage House is a beautiful venue with remarkable food and incredible service! Everything from start to finish was fantastic! And our sever rocked it out on just the right amount of attentiveness. Cheers!

This will be long winded and I have zero affiliation. The star of all of our dishes were great. All of our sides were underseasoned. The entire reason I'm leaving a review is for Stephanie...

Stephanie was amazing! My girlfriend and I went the night before Valentine's Day. My girlfriend has worked as a server, bartender, and manager for well over a decade in the restaurant industry. We were both very impressed. She always remained professional but we could also tell she could figure out how her guests wanted to be treated quickly. Some people just want dry professionalism, some people want a fun server, and some want something in between. She was quick to figure out exactly what kind of service we wanted. She made our night even better. If you ever go to Vintage House, ask for Stephanie!

Our waitress was excellent. We had crab cake appetizers, dinner and dessert. I had the steak. It had an unusual flavor that I'm unsure of and was just overall okay, not bad but not good, which is rare for me to critique. The flavors were what I would describe as heavy but without a pop or soild profile to distinguish it. The cook was okay overall on the steak. The crab cakes were similar in the extent they could have been a touch firmer and less lemon which over powered the seasoning. They did not have the dessert that was listed on their menu and the dessert we had was okay but we felt that overall it wasn't worth the value and lacked in design/flavor versus other places. I really wanted to like it and tried hard to but felt that it just missed the over all mark which was unfortunate. I feel there are some tweaks that could be made to truly elevate the dishes to the level they could be. I appreciated the overall experiance but the overall flavor was just not there. We discussed possibly going agian to try other dishes in the future. Also weird side not the music doesn't match the dishes which sounds weird but will be helpful for the staff to know. Put some crunch in the ice cream desert with dark choclate get ride of the wet pastry and change with whipped cream for like a raspberry sorbet and it will be perfect. For the steak try to brighten up the flavor of the meat instead of trying to darken it, the seasoning and deep sere is too much of the same. hope this helps. :)

The mixed drinks were terrible. The service was awful, it took us 2 hours to get our main course (we didn’t even order appetizers). The food for the price was subpar. The only thing the place had going for it was the atmosphere. After our server left for health reasons (which no one told us until we asked for the check after 30 minutes of no one checking on us..the manager gave us a $25 off card on our NEXT time there. I was extremely disappointed.
