Food: Loved breakfast! Scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, shredded hash browns, and biscuit all prepared perfectly and served hot.
Fried baby shrimp, hush puppies, baked potato all nice. The shrimp was not over cooked.
Lasagna and calzone were OK but could use more seasoning.
Country style steak with gravy was a bit overcooked. Mac and cheese had a nice consistency.
Service: All servers were friendly and helpful. Came back at the right time.
Atmosphere: What you would expect at a family restaurant. I like that it wasn't overly noisy with the high ceilings designed to echo.
Obviously I've been here several times. A pleasant place to eat with family or visit with friends. The menu has a wide variety of selections. Prices are reasonable.

We tried this newly opened restaurant for breakfast recently and we were more than surprised, pleasantly delighted, by the breakfast experience.
The interior redecoration and redesign is so refreshing and super nice compared to how this establishment used to look inside when it was a different restaurant. Special care and concern was definitely taken, and the results are excellent.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, our food was really good, the only possible downside of our experience was that our waiter brought the check out almost right with the food. At least let us have a bite first! It was not a busy morning, and plenty of empty tables, so even though we were told "no rush" it felt like they were ready for us to pay, because the check came so early.
We tried a couple different breakfast options, and the biscuits and gravy were excellent. Pancakes were really good too!
All in all a great spot and we will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Good service and good food. 4.5/5. When in High Point, this is a great place for a quick bite. Our waitress was informative and friendly. The menu is vast. Many good options. I've tried the buffalo chicken pizza which was surprisingly good. The right amount of spice, crispy crust and generous toppings. Within the group we also had the pork chops. They were much thinner than expected. The two together make 1 decent pork chop. However, they were well seasoned and cooked properly. To be so thin, they were not dry. The waitress recommended the chicken souvlaki platter which was a hit.
It's a busy restaurant but luckily we did not have to wait to be seated even on a weekend evening. I'll be going again

We love Cagney's. The food, service and atmosphere are always great. My family went with us for the first time on Saturday and our waitress was Kayla. She was awsome! Everyone loved their food so I know they will be back too. I had the Harvest Salad. Yummy!

MOLDY FOOD. Terrible service, even worse management.

This happened while I was taking my step dad out to a Veterans Day breakfast.

The waitress had to come to our table 4 times just to get drinks delivered because she couldn’t remember what we ordered and didn’t write it down. This continued throughout the service. We had to ask for a kids menu 3 times, the food was brought in 5 separate trips, all spaced out. She was nice and pleasant enough, though the service was not great.

The real problem came during the meal. After eating 3 pieces of toast with jelly, I noticed that the jelly had mold in it. A manager was called over. While telling him about it, he cut me off saying “I don’t think you ate the mold”. As if he would know.

He then told us he would comp our meal, but only if he could find another jelly packet containing mold and began playing a “jelly roulette” of sorts at our table where he grabbed jelly from another table (not ours) and began opening all these packets in front of us to prove that “his food is good”. He then went on a long tangent about how hard he works “all day long” and how he can’t afford to take the food off our bill so we would have to pay for it.

I asked him to take my name down to document this incident in case I got sick and he didn’t do that. He put an employee discount of 20% on the bill which didn’t even cover the cost of my meal, let alone others at the table who also ate the jelly. Oh, and they passed along their bank merchant fee to us on the bill, adding an extra $2 to our tab.

The whole thing was a disgusting display, with the management complaining about personal woes and playing games rather than addressing the fact that there is moldy food in their restaurant.

Jelly has a very long shelf life, and the manager made clear that the restaurant is having financial troubles such that they can’t comp a moldy meal.

I’ve contacted the health department about this location and will also be calling corporate, but there are severe problems at this restaurant and I would encourage everyone to stay away.

Oh and not one employee there thanked my step dad for his service, on Veterans Day.
