There was one time I was clumsy and busted my Togo bowl of ramen broth but because they tied it in a bag just in case that happens, I didn’t lose my broth! “While I was shopping in the Archdale/High Point, NC area, I decided to stop in at BBQ Joe's Country Cooking restaurant for lunch on a Sunday.
It was about 2 pm & I expected the usual crowded conditions but encountered only a group of 5 fellow Veterans who were just leaving. I, of course, enjoyed a good session of discussion with them out in the parking lot before going in.
I was met quickly by the friendly cashier at the order counter. Placed my order for Chopped pork BBQ sandwich with coleslaw added onto it, an order of fries & a drink cup for a dine in experience.
As I went to the self serve soda dispenser with had a selection of Coke products, I looked around the completely empty, clean restaurant. Picking a secluded booth area where I could view the front door & order counter area & kitchen, I had a seat. It wasn't very long when my plate arrived with a heaping full bun of chopped BBQ Pork along with a very generous serving of French fries. I added some house BBQ sauce that was there at the table along with some other condiments & took my first bite of purely delicious BBQ Pork. Uum, uum! So good! The kindle cut fries were freshly cooked, warm & had just the right, crispy, crunchy texture.
After a pleasant 30 minutes or so of quite dining, the server brought me the bill & I proceeded to pay at the cashier counter after getting a soda refill. I left a generous tip & the entire bill was only about $21. Well worth the price for the tasty, pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant if you are in the mood for some excellent BBQ.”

It was like going back in time to my Aunt Hattie's kitchen and once again tasting good old country cooking at its best. “Went in yesterday and a diner had her dog sitting with her in the chair as she ate at the bar. I was told the dog had a "certificate," which people can get for 99 cents online if they want to impose their "emotional support" dog on other people in restaurants. Restaurants and coffee shops need to follow NC code, which allows service dogs but not emotional support pets. I left and I doubt I will go back, but I will miss the onion rings and local atmosphere. It's a good place if you don't mind eating with dogs. But I'm done with this nonsense.”

I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant and I could overlook one time, if I did. Overall, I still think this place is excellent.”

“J I wish you had reached out so we could figure out what went wrong. First of all I didnt have a wedding in November for 125 guest. I had several for 100 guest which makes since if you had 85 show up. We always have plenty of food for your guest. If you had 85 guest, lets then figure on how many of your vendors ate. That would only get you to about 90 servings. Then lets say you had 5 guest that went back for seconds which is typical if there was still food available. And you mentioned we did pack up boxes for you and your groom so I would say we were dead on the 100 that you paid for. I do wish you would have reached out so I could explain this to you so you would have a better understanding on what actually took place. “I heard about Chu”s express on Westchester from my niece, Accompanied with my sister and grandson we placed our orders Oct 20 22. customer service was excellent has a 99.5 grade and the October decorations we nice. No place to dine in. Our food was so delicious even my grandson was like ummm ummm ?. I highly recommend them. Delivery available also”

“TERRIBLE. Went there for birthday celebration. Took 45 minutes for waitress to take our order. Husband got skunky beer. Food came out a couple at a time with about 5 minutes in between (there were 12 of us but there were only about 8 other people in the restaurant). My 4 year old granddaughter ordered pasta and marinara. After everyone else finally got their food I asked the waitress where her food was. Her reply: we don’t have any marinara, here’s some macaroni and cheese. She never said they didn’t have what she ordered and never asked what else she wanted. I never received a refill of my soda in the 2 hours we were there. And finally, it took the waitress another 30 minutes to take care of the tab. To top it off the food was mediocre at best”

“This new Jamaican restaurant in High Point is a MUST GO! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t packed at all , you can Dine in or sit outside they have picnic tables . Very clean and welcoming restaurant the moment you walk in the ladies made us feel at home . You have to place your order up front versus waiting on the server to come your table and you have the option to place your own order or the waitress can help you with any questions on there menu if your not familiar with Jamaican food , and then they bring your food to your table if your dining in. They don’t have a whole lot of options on the menu but the food was very delicious and tasteful. There are several options for beverages and our favorite was the pineapple drink in the glass bottle . The food came out pretty quick we dint have to wait to long . They also have different size portions you can choose from when you order your food from small to large . Prices vary but are reasonable. It tasted like a home cooked meal . If you have never tried Jamaican Food I highly recommend you come here and Get You Some .
