“Another High Point gem that I never even knew about! We went on a Sunday and it was packed. You seat yourself, so if you have a large party, you'll have to wait it out. Its worth it though! Glad to see a spot with turkey bacon and turkey sausage options. We will be back!“
“Ate here for the first time. Love that there are lots of options in one place. Ate some excellent sushi, but plan to go back to try some of the other places. Plenty of tables, very clean, and despite there being lots of people it was not loud or too crowded.“
“We ended up at Sammy G's for the first time in a very long time this past weekend. It was a Saturday evening so I was expecting a wait but luckily we were able to grab a table quickly. Our server was very good and attentive. The restaurant was busy but the wait staff stayed polite, attentive, and kind. The meal starts with these little rolls that hit the spot if you come in hungry. My husband picked the Blackened Salmon Sandwich with the chips. He said it had such a great taste and the blackening was the perfect level. I tasted one of his chips and they were perfectly crisp. I ordered the Tavern Chicken which comes with mashed potatoes and corn, as well as a side salad. My Caesar side salad was very good--the salad was well dressed and the dressing wasn't too "goopy" or heavy. My only super minor complaint was the salad took a bit to come out, and our server brought us more bread in the interim. The chicken was sheer perfection! I was hesitant about the tomato (they aren't my favorite) but the tomato added the perfect amount of acid which added to the flavor. The corn might be my favorite! If they gave out the recipe, I'd take it! Looking back, I'd ask for corn instead of the potatoes, they were just that good!“
“This is a small restaurant. Food was good and service was friendly. Parking lot is small. I had to park next door. But overall a good experience. I had the Coop sandwich which is a chicken breast with barbecue sauce, bacon and melted cheddar. It was a little messy but that’s what happens with barbecue sauce. It was very tasty though.“
“Great food, Speedy service, Awesome staff, and prices that don't kill your wallet. I recommend the Barbecue Specialist Inc to everyone whether you're looking to sit and enjoy a meal or those that are in a hurry and need a quick bite.“
“This is one of those little place you can drive by a million times, but that one time when you decide to stop!!!!! Plan on this place becoming a part of your weekly, if not daily routine. One of the few places that when you get you change, you ask did you ring everything up..... yes and that change you get toss it in that TIP jar truly worrh fp ING it a try.“
“Made a quick stop here with friends as they were visiting in town and looking for some barbecue! We were looking for burnt ends, but didn't find anywhere close by that served this specifically so we stumbled upon BBQ Joe's which had very good reviews. The staff was very friendly and answered the questions we had about portion size, etc. we were all very happy with what we got and everything tasted delicious, even the sides! As for the atmosphere, it's a pretty fast casual place, so don't expect anything crazy but just a quick stop and go place.“
“Becky’s & Mary’s Restaurant, located in High Point, offers a delightful selection of dishes. Their fried chicken is exceptional, complemented by flavorful cornbread and a delightful sweet yam. Occasionally, they feature turkey neck and gizzard, which are equally enjoyable for those with a taste for such fare. However, it’s important to note that their cuisine leans toward richness, with generous use of butter and sugar. Opinions on this establishment tend to be divisive: some patrons adore the food, while others find it less appealing. I recommend experiencing it firsthand to form your own judgment. Please be aware that this establishment operates on a cash-only basis and is situated in a neighborhood. While some may perceive the area as questionable, I personally have not encountered any issues during lunchtime visits.“
“The food was amazing, the service was good they bring your food to the car. You order in and then go back to your vehicle and wait. The food was hot and fresh. Because you have to wait in your vehicle there is no atmosphere but this is not a knock against their service. I will definitely go “
“Alexandria and Alesha are amazing! I highly recommend catering an event at Bistro 1605. My daughter was graduating from HPU. I live in DC and we had approximately 30 family members coming to her graduation. They worked with me to organize a luncheon. The location, its size, and their flexibility allowed me to host a very memorable event. The pimento cheese and chips are to die for! The food was good and they let us in early to decorate the restaurant. I can't say enough about their professionalism and friendliness. The proximity to the school, available parking, and access to the TV and refrigerators made the planning of this event stress free. They also allowed us to bring in outside food and drinks. The family was very pleased. Would definitely eat here again and use their services.“
“Tipsy'z Tavern & Grill in High Point, NC, is truly a gem when it comes to dining in my hometown. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere make it a welcoming spot to unwind. Their wonderful drinks are crafted with care, offering a perfect balance of flavors. I highly recommend trying their signature All Jacked Up Burger, topped and stuffed with pepper jack cheese and onion rings (I sub for jalapeños), then smothered in spicy ranch—it's a flavorful delight that's sure to impress. Next time you're in High Point, don't miss out on the experience at Tipsy'z Tavern & Grill.“
“We were out town to some work ia the area some local told about this place the best buffet I ever been to 15 plus your drink included the people were nice good great best salad bar ever with boiled shrimp on it so many veggies I love a little over a hour away and I will be “
“This is such a gem of a place. The food was great and the staff were great. Because we are out of town we like to order food and just try it. So we had the salmon alfredo pasta , bourbon BBQ chicken wings, chicken quesadillas and chicken tenders. Everything was absolutely delicious, the chicken tenders were super tender. I've never had salmon Alfredo and I'm absolutely love this dish. This is definitely the spot will most likely hit if we come back in town.“
“I was here on a Monday morning and they were busy. Wait less than 4 minutes. Got the Sausage Gravy Biscuit and Hashbrown, Coffee. The biscuit was large and the gravy was great also the coffee was very good.PS Also got Doggie Biscuits. My dog loves them.If you see them stop and get themGood food.“
“This little place is a great lunch spot. Their steak sub is one of my favorites in town. Their fries have a seasoning on them that I love and are always fresh. They are always friendly, even when swamped. Food comes out quickly and I've never had them get something wrong. Try the crab cake sandwich too!“
“I went to eat here last night and it was a joy .First off the food was awesome for a bar grill they offer Fajitas which is genius because you usually don't have that on a bar menu. The service was excellent we had a waitress named Kelly she was awesome ♥️. They have a full bar and drink specials every night. They also have food specials every night last night was Ribs and Friday Night it's Fish and Chips. Let me tell yous they have their own custom Chips also very yummy ?.Parking: Lots of Parking .“
“My wife and I did takeout. We got quite a bit of food. The wings, breadsticks (homemade? I'm not sure), and baked beans were all excellent. The cornbread and coleslaw is very average (slaw was way too liquidy and the cornbread lacked sweetnes/flavor), and the macaroni and cheese is probably the worst macaroni and cheese I have ever eaten. Please rethink the recipe for the macaroni and cheese or just get rid of the item from the menu. Will come here again however since the wings were incredible and I'd like to try other items on the menu. The menu is surprisingly varied but I imagine this is what is causing the lack of quality of some items vs others. Price is fair for the amount of food we got“
“We had the pre-fixe Valentine's Dinner. When I first found out what was on the menu, I was a little concerned, but found out the dishes were delicious and creative. Loved that there were choices for every diet. Our server was wonderful! The drinks and food were cooked/prepared perfectly.“
“The service was great despite being crowded. The wings were not bad, but we're not the best I have had either. The hot buffalo sauce was a little runny and didn't coat the wings well. I will eat there again.Parking: Limited parking at restaurant, but there is a vacant restaurant adjacent that you could park at.“
“This is a well run establishment. Dropped in to get a couple sandwiches. Went with Ham Classic and Tavern Club. These sandwiches are pricey but always tasty. My relative adores their ham sandwich. I just recently discovered they offer ham slices. Once again, pricey but man that ham is goodParking: Parking lot is weird but there is plenty of it.“
“Breakfast would have been a 5 star but the Turkey sausage felt like rubber and the onions were not cook in the cornbeef hash just thrown on top. Service excellent charge for sausage remove once the waitress notice it was not eaten and she was very nice.“
“Came here with my husband for a quick date night bite to eat. They were out of lamb chops so we both ordered steak. & chicken wings for appetizers. Hats off to the chef tonight! Everything was seasoned to perfection! Forgot all about the lamb chops. Service was excellent. Our hostess was very attentive. This location in my opinion is better than some of the high end restaurants on Main Street. My 1st great experience with food & service since moving to NC from Michigan, a few weeks ago! We also had some dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate.“
“I always notice how busy The Biscuit Factory is. I finally got a chance to eat there today, and now I know why they call it The Biscuit Factory. They have the biggest biscuits in the city! I enjoyed my breakfast, I could be tripping, but it was kind of expensive. We got 2 biscuits, 2 fries, a hasbrown, and 2 drinks for 29.09.“
“Well worth the drive! Wishing they’d open one near Stokesdale, NC!!!Parking: Large lot to accommodate ALL their *SuperSatisfied* customers!Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk from parking lot to building is easily accessible by wheelchair, scooter, and walker.“
“We came in after church because my husband was craving some salt & pepper catfish. It was busy. We only had a 20 minute wait. I ordered oysters & baby shrimp. There is a $3.00 upcharge on the combination for the oysters (6) for no more than they gave me. The food tasted great & the service was better. The dining room was “
“Chloe was our waitress and she was fantastic. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She took care of our every need. She is an asset to Applebee's! The restaurant was very clean and the food was amazing. The beer was ice cold too! The temperature, portion size, and quality of the food was impeccable! We will definitely return and can only hope to get this wonderful waitress with the beautiful smile again.“
“The BEST grilled chicken salad ? in the business! They give you three while pieces of chicken breast and their dressings are great, especially their ranch. Food comes out fast and got every time and always exactly how you wanted it. I've been going to Nick's Sub Shop for over 25 yrs and plan to continue to go for another 25! The only downside is they are closed on Mondays. I strongly suggest giving Nick's a try, you won't be disappointed.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy for the mobility impaired to enter and exit, they have two different entrances w no steps. Isles are wide enough for a wheelchair to move without bumping into anything.“
“This is one of my go-to places for lunch. This is just goooood NC BBQ. I typically go through the drive-thru, because I usually can zip through without waiting too long. The staff always has their warm Southern hospitality ready to take your order. Their menu isn't too overwhelming, it has your standard BBQ dishes/meals. There is a choice of ribs, chicken and even hot dogs. Boy, do I like their all the way hot dogs. They have a nice selection of sides. The BBQ plate has a lot of food. So come with an appetite. It has a nice helping of BBQ, loads of fries and hush puppies. They also have their tasty BBQ slaw. Their vinegar based slaw is Dee-li-cious. Don't forget to ask for a side of extra BBQ sauce. Now I like my fries softer with a little crunch. So their fries are so good to me. The savory BBQ is seasoned just right. Sprinkle a dab of their BBQ sauce on top and you have the right pairing. They have daily specials so checked those out before you order.“
“Food was good. I think. bc my 7 year old ate it and he doesn't eat much of anything especially meat so that's impressive. He had a pulled chicken BBQ sandwich and we got some sauce to go. It was good. Price was OK.Parking: Parking was super easy, right next to the restaurant. They have drive through too.“
“First time going and it was great!!! Staff was super friendly and was ahead of any questions we may have asked. One of the hostess even played / talked with my 6 yo Granddaughter. Not to mention the food was delicious and they have one of the best briskets we've had since moving from TX. This could be our new place.Parking: Parkings in the back. Decent amount of spaces.Kid-friendliness: Definitely was kid friendly....and find Waldo!!“
