“Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and craft beer on tap! My family and I love this place. My only complaint would be that last time we were here, someone at the table next to us had a dog in a tote bag that was most definitely NOT a service animal. Not one staff member said anything to her. This is a problem for me as I suffer from severe animal allergies. In addition, I don’t feel it is sanitary to bring animals in an establishment where food is being sold/served. Like I said, we love this place, but if this becomes a habit we will have to find another place to go. ☹️“

“I thought I would never again taste food like my Aunt Hattie made it, but today a friend took me to University Kitchen for lunch, and I had green beans, stewed cabbage, fried chicken livers, and cornbread. It was like going back in time to my Aunt Hattie's kitchen and once again tasting good old country cooking at its best. They have managed to keep those great vintage recipes alive, and I now have a new favorite restaurant. Everyone who worked there was amiable and on top of service. It was great!“

“The Elm St. Café has been a favorite lunch spot of mine for Over 20 years. Every dishes is tasty and fresh. I especially like the grilled chicken salad. The chicken is always cooked and seasoned to perfection.

“My husband and I had the pleasure to attend my cousin’s reception held at JH Adam’s Inn/Cristina Gray’s Restaurant & Bar Friday evening. We stayed on the property as well and found the check in process to be quick and easy, ALL of the staff were friendly and accommodating! Our room was very well stocked and clean!! As my aunt said, it is a hidden gem of High Point and it comes highly recommended!!“

“Omg so I decided to try this place after it was recommended by a friend, let me just say I’ll be back for lunch tomorrow and bringing home extra! The lady who took my order was also very sweet, she listed all the sides for me and their was so many I didn’t want to make her repeat them all again so I found a menu and chose from there. I’m not a fan of pork fatback cabbages so the spicy cabbages they had were mmm so good, the greens were tangy just how I like and the Mac and cheese don’t get me started on that, I just about ate my whole serving before I pulled out of the parking spot and almost turned back for more, I can’t wait to come back and try more of their food! Don’t forget to wash it down with their lemonade which is just how I like it sweet! If they were open later I’d come back today with my family for dinner! They don’t disappoint!“

“If you don't eat the buffet, you can order off the menu. The salmon patties, meatloaf, and more are delicious. As with the buffets, the service is always wonderful, friendly, and very attentive. You won't have to wait to have drinks, iced tea, and coffee refilled. It's an overall pleasant dining experience.“

“I was here on a Monday morning and they were busy. Wait less than 4 minutes. Got the Sausage Gravy Biscuit and Hashbrown, Coffee. The biscuit was large and the gravy was great also the coffee was very good.PS Also got Doggie Biscuits. My dog loves them.If you see them stop and get themGood food.“
