“Food is good and I love the sweet tea. But I have to wonder why they constantly skimp on toppings. I ordered a cheeseburger with chili and mustard only and there was maybe a bit more than a dime sized amount of chili and no mustard that I could see. I also order burgers with extra mayo and barely get any. What’s the deal?“

“Great home style cooking buffet. Plenty of seating was available even during lunch hour! Food was replenished quickly and offered a large variety of southern (and other) favorites... fried chicken and fried catfish, meatloaf, chicken and dumplings as well as spaghetti. Also have a large salad and dessert bar. Well worth the money and the time to visit. I will return!“

“It's a local favorite. Food menu is pub/Italian. They have a little bit of everything. They also have a back room with pool tables and a jukebox. Family friendly, budget friendly, watch sports on their 4 tvs, or have it delivered. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about what they serve. Big little hole in the wall that caters to all generations.“

“Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and craft beer on tap! My family and I love this place. My only complaint would be that last time we were here, someone at the table next to us had a dog in a tote bag that was most definitely NOT a service animal. Not one staff member said anything to her. This is a problem for me as I suffer from severe animal allergies. In addition, I don’t feel it is sanitary to bring animals in an establishment where food is being sold/served. Like I said, we love this place, but if this becomes a habit we will have to find another place to go. ☹️“

“What started as a $4.15 Happy Meal on a road trip the day after Christmas, proceeding to hungry and very angry parents late at night after several other restaurants ended up being closed or refusing to serve walk-in customers, ended with a $40 meal and the angel at the Jake’s Diner drive-thru. I don’t actually know what’s on the menu, and honestly, they probably could’ve served Lunchables and I’d have still given them a four star review. Thank you for being open late the night after Christmas, thank you to the nice girl at the window for simply wanted 3 chicken sandwiches and fries, one spicy, and making it happen. The food was great, the service was quick, and you saved our night.“

“Food was okay. Not a fan of the grilled chicken (was slightly dry) or the pulled pork sandwich (not as tender as I would've liked). Hushpuppies are damn good, as well as the burgers and tenders. Employees were friendly, building was simple and clean. Loved the halloween decorations. Prices seemed good, we spent a little more per person just so we could try more of the menu. (I would suggest the average is 12-20 per person)“

“I thought I would never again taste food like my Aunt Hattie made it, but today a friend took me to University Kitchen for lunch, and I had green beans, stewed cabbage, fried chicken livers, and cornbread. It was like going back in time to my Aunt Hattie's kitchen and once again tasting good old country cooking at its best. They have managed to keep those great vintage recipes alive, and I now have a new favorite restaurant. Everyone who worked there was amiable and on top of service. It was great!“

We stayed on the property as well and found the check in process to be quick and easy, ALL of the staff were friendly and accommodating! Our room was very well stocked and clean!! “If you don't eat the buffet, you can order off the menu. The salmon patties, meatloaf, and more are delicious. As with the buffets, the service is always wonderful, friendly, and very attentive. “Wonderful customer service started at check-in and continued throughout the stay! The Bistro morning staff 3/19 was warm and welcoming! Very clean rooms, close to downtown and interstate. Only took 10 minutes to get downtown all weekend which was nice. Parking was great, you can park on whatever side of the property you are staying on. Would stay again!“

Told us about senior plate ( smaller portions--I wonder how much is regular size is) I still had enough to take home!!!! Everything we ordered was excellent. Highly recommend this one. “A party of four go into Mayberry about 3:10 this afternoon! We waited about 5 minutes to even be seated! No one seemed to know what to do! We had to keep moving as we waited so that a lady could sweep! We ordered just banana splits and 2 ice cream sundaes! They were brought to us in a timely manner and that was it! Never saw the waitress again until I paid! My grandson dropped his spoon, I got up to get him another, no one at the counter! One waitress just walked by me to get out the door! No wait staff to be seen in the restaurant! Everyone was in the kitchen, talking! One lady was standing in the opening and I know that she could see me at the counter, but she chose to ignore me! I was ready to go behind the counter, but couldn’t see any spoons! After 3-4 minutes a lady comes out! We finish and get up to leave, no bill! I go to counter and wait probably 5-7 mins. Cashier has to ring up 2-3 ice creams and some man was trying to get his to-go order and he had been waiting a while! When the cashier finally ask me why I’m there, I tell her to pay my bill! She has no bill, can not find it on the cash register! She asked me twice where we were sitting! While she calls our waitress, she rings it up and I finally paid! Doesn’t give me my change back, I have to tell her what I gave her and how much change she owes me! First time in a long time that we’ve been to Mayberry and probably won’t be going back! Wasn’t very busy this afternoon, lots of employees just standing around/in the kitchen doing nothing!“

“Tried this wing spot for the first time and it definitely lived up to the hype. Wings were crispy, sauced perfectly, and full of flavor. Fries were fresh, portions were good, and the customer service was on point too. Definitely one of the better wing places I’ve had in a while — I’ll be back for sure. I can’t remember her name but I think it was Holly, she even went above and beyond to help get my car unstuck across the street after they were closing. If that ain’t customer service I don’t know what is lol“
