My only complaint would be that last time we were here, someone at the table next to us had a dog in a tote bag that was most definitely NOT a service animal. Not one staff member said anything to her. This is a problem for me as I suffer from severe animal allergies. In addition, I don’t feel it is sanitary to bring animals in an establishment where food is being sold/served. Like I said, we love this place, but if this becomes a habit we will have to find another place to go. ☹️“

“The hostess gave us a warm greeting and was helpful. The waitress was efficient and friendly. The salad bar was fresh and had a good variety of items. The menu was varied and the dinner ( shrimp and scallops) was delicious, cooked perfectly.

“By far the best location of this restaurant. I had ordered an online order at the one in winston salem and when I got there the store was closed. I wasn’t sure why it was closed, so many other people were outside wondering the same thing. I called the Greensboro location and the manager Alex was super nice and accommodating. He made my order for me there and had it ready when I came in. Winston Salem always has some sort of issues but never Greensboro. Thank you again Alex!“

Today for the first time I was served a chopped hamburger on nachos and when I sent it back the "GM" was very rude and told me that I should have told them I didn't want a hamburger on my food because it's still "beef".. I am disgusted by the service I received today and before the restaurant responds I DARE you to look at those cameras and see who was in the wrong. This was simply another case of a white woman using her privilege to weaponize the police. Work on your customer service and de-escalation skills. Calling the police on a paying customer because they don't like your food as they are agreeing to leave is even more disgusting than the food was today. 0 stars if I could“

I even had some of the "Pickiest" of guests tell us how great the food was which says a lot! We will use Derek and his team for other events in the future! “What else can I say but this place is exceptional. Today, we went to celebrate my wife's birthday as it is a family favorite. This place was busy! Spencer is already one of the hardest working Managers in Greensboro, and he was out there with the rest of the staff making sure everything was moving along. Our server, Alex, was incredible and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was exceptional, from appetizer to dessert. We had the Parmesan Artichoke cheese dip, the honey-chili aioli fried chicken sandwich, hot dog (for the kiddo), and for dessert we had the Kahlua Espresso Cheesecake (coffee w/ Bailey's for Mom and Dad). We are somehow always more impressed with this place every visit and can't wait to get back!“

“Ordered the Granny and the Godfather Panini Melt and it absolutely hit the spot! I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong with any option here. The dipping sauces also paired well. Instead of the duck fat fries we got broccoli which was soft and topped with shredded cheese. Not bad at all. If you do get fries, from what I observed people got huge portion sizes. I would absolutely come back here to explore more of the menu. They also have daily specials and happy hour prices. The music was awesome too. Great feel. Great hits from back in the day. And the waiter was outstanding. I think his name was Brian??? But definitely a guy you want serving/representing your restaurant. Thanks guys, fun spot !“

“Family-owned diner that definitely didn't disappoint! I stopped in this morning, grabbed a seat at the counter, and was immediately greeted with a smile. I ordered the chorizo omelet, which came with two sides—I chose the home fries and sausage gravy. Everything was delicious and really hit the spot. Service was quick, the staff was welcoming, and I was in and out in no time. A great way to start the day! Highly recommend.“

“What started as a $4.15 Happy Meal on a road trip the day after Christmas, proceeding to hungry and very angry parents late at night after several other restaurants ended up being closed or refusing to serve walk-in customers, ended with a $40 meal and the angel at the Jake’s Diner drive-thru. I don’t actually know what’s on the menu, and honestly, they probably could’ve served Lunchables and I’d have still given them a four star review. Thank you for being open late the night after Christmas, thank you to the nice girl at the window for simply wanted 3 chicken sandwiches and fries, one spicy, and making it happen. The food was great, the service was quick, and you saved our night.“

“Riz is an amazing bartender. He will absolutely try to match you to your ideal cocktail and watching him work is an education.
For a hotel bar the atmosphere was great.
The bar is quite small, so if like me you like to sit up at the counter you may be sos at busy times.“

“I thought I would never again taste food like my Aunt Hattie made it, but today a friend took me to University Kitchen for lunch, and I had green beans, stewed cabbage, fried chicken livers, and cornbread. It was like going back in time to my Aunt Hattie's kitchen and once again tasting good old country cooking at its best. They have managed to keep those great vintage recipes alive, and I now have a new favorite restaurant. Everyone who worked there was amiable and on top of service. It was great!“
