“Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and craft beer on tap! My family and I love this place. My only complaint would be that last time we were here, someone at the table next to us had a dog in a tote bag that was most definitely NOT a service animal. Not one staff member said anything to her. This is a problem for me as I suffer from severe animal allergies. In addition, I don’t feel it is sanitary to bring animals in an establishment where food is being sold/served. Like I said, we love this place, but if this becomes a habit we will have to find another place to go. ☹️“

From the moment we arrived, Ravi made our entire group feel welcome and well taken care of. He was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, especially with our soccer girls who came straight from a game. He made sure they were served first, which did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated! Today for the first time I was served a chopped hamburger on nachos and when I sent it back the "GM" was very rude and told me that I should have told them I didn't want a hamburger on my food because it's still "beef".. I am disgusted by the service I received today and before the restaurant responds I DARE you to look at those cameras and see who was in the wrong. This was simply another case of a white woman using her privilege to weaponize the police. Work on your customer service and de-escalation skills. Calling the police on a paying customer because they don't like your food as they are agreeing to leave is even more disgusting than the food was today. 0 stars if I could“

“Derek and his folks did an outstanding job for our daughters wedding of 200+ people! Derek is a great guy, very accommodating, and we LOVED his food! I even had some of the "Pickiest" of guests tell us how great the food was which says a lot! We will use Derek and his team for other events in the future! Great guy and even better food if that's possible!“

“What else can I say but this place is exceptional. Today, we went to celebrate my wife's birthday as it is a family favorite. This place was busy! Spencer is already one of the hardest working Managers in Greensboro, and he was out there with the rest of the staff making sure everything was moving along. Our server, Alex, was incredible and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was exceptional, from appetizer to dessert. We had the Parmesan Artichoke cheese dip, the honey-chili aioli fried chicken sandwich, hot dog (for the kiddo), and for dessert we had the Kahlua Espresso Cheesecake (coffee w/ Bailey's for Mom and Dad). We are somehow always more impressed with this place every visit and can't wait to get back!“

“I had the cheeseburger steak special for that day and it was rather good. Service was good and the portions were good. They want break your pocket neither. They serve breakfast all day until they close at 3 pm. I’ll be back even on my off days. Especially after a visit to the VA.“

“Ordered the Granny and the Godfather Panini Melt and it absolutely hit the spot! I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong with any option here. The dipping sauces also paired well. Instead of the duck fat fries we got broccoli which was soft and topped with shredded cheese. Not bad at all. If you do get fries, from what I observed people got huge portion sizes. I would absolutely come back here to explore more of the menu. They also have daily specials and happy hour prices. The music was awesome too. Great feel. Great hits from back in the day. And the waiter was outstanding. I think his name was Brian??? But definitely a guy you want serving/representing your restaurant. Thanks guys, fun spot !“

“What started as a $4.15 Happy Meal on a road trip the day after Christmas, proceeding to hungry and very angry parents late at night after several other restaurants ended up being closed or refusing to serve walk-in customers, ended with a $40 meal and the angel at the Jake’s Diner drive-thru. I don’t actually know what’s on the menu, and honestly, they probably could’ve served Lunchables and I’d have still given them a four star review. Thank you for being open late the night after Christmas, thank you to the nice girl at the window for simply wanted 3 chicken sandwiches and fries, one spicy, and making it happen. The food was great, the service was quick, and you saved our night.“

“Riz is an amazing bartender. He will absolutely try to match you to your ideal cocktail and watching him work is an education.
For a hotel bar the atmosphere was great.
The bar is quite small, so if like me you like to sit up at the counter you may be sos at busy times.“

“My girlfriend and I had a Classic Burger, Shrimp and Chorizo tacos, and the Dirty Fries. She is vegan. I am not. She also had a chocolate shake.

The burger was outstanding. Standard toppings and special sauce. Great flavor burger with a little heat.
The Chorizo tacos were amazing. Cilantro Aioli wasn't a great pairing for me but the taco itself was extremely tasty.
The Shrimp Taco had the same great flavor. The shrimp wasn't exactly my girlfriend's favorite texture (extra taco for me!).
She also loved her chocolate shake and wanted to know how they made it. It was rich and creamy and had an excellent flavor.
The drinks were a sweet tea (strong and perfectly sweetened) and a pineapple lemonade (also flavorful and just tart enough).
The Dirty Fries were a tad too sweet for me but lots of flavor.

“I thought I would never again taste food like my Aunt Hattie made it, but today a friend took me to University Kitchen for lunch, and I had green beans, stewed cabbage, fried chicken livers, and cornbread. It was like going back in time to my Aunt Hattie's kitchen and once again tasting good old country cooking at its best. They have managed to keep those great vintage recipes alive, and I now have a new favorite restaurant. Everyone who worked there was amiable and on top of service. It was great!“

“Wonderful customer service started at check-in and continued throughout the stay! The Bistro morning staff 3/19 was warm and welcoming! Very clean rooms, close to downtown and interstate. Only took 10 minutes to get downtown all weekend which was nice. Parking was great, you can park on whatever side of the property you are staying on. Would stay again!“
