“A small gem of a restaurant and they had Tremendous service and amazing food. Daily specials, wide selection of sides and desserts that were delicious and reasonably priced. Our party of eight tried almost everything on the menu and no one had complaints. The wait staff worked as a team with quality service as their main goal. We drove in from Nash county (2 1/2) and were extremely pleased. This will be on our monthly excursion list from now on.“

“Great BBQ restaurant with old-timey wall decorations. Extremely generous with portions on the plates. My wife and I shared a chopped BBQ plate which came with hushpuppies and two other sides. No charge for hushpuppy refills. Our sides v were slaw and baked beans. All of it was very delicious, although not the absolute best we've ever had in Lexington. Friendly staff, and sufficient parking at lunchtime today. We would definitely eat here again. Thankyou!“

“Love places like this when we are going thru small towns. Kearney did not disappoint. Fun talk with the staff and it was fun when we told them we were rookies. If you are in the area of Lexington you are missing out if you don’t look it up. The pimento cheese burger is the best I’ve had. The 1/2 pound option was my choice however you can have the 1lb option.“

“We had actually eaten dinner somewhere else tonight, but decided we weren’t quite ready to head home. A quick Google search for lava cake brought us to this location, and I’m so glad it did.

From the moment we walked through the door, Lex greeted us like we were old friends. She spoke to my 3- and 5-year-old daughters as if they were the most important guests in the restaurant, and they absolutely loved it.

The service was exceptional—attentive without ever feeling overbearing. Every interaction felt genuine.

As we were getting ready to leave, my 3-year-old asked if she could have one of the little drink umbrellas. Lex searched everywhere she could but couldn’t find one. My daughters thanked her for trying, and we started to walk out.

That’s when Cooper stepped in and made sure the girls didn’t leave empty-handed.

Every member of the staff we encountered showed us genuine kindness. They all went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience, and we truly felt it.

The truth is, you never know what someone is carrying. They didn’t know me or my family. My daughters have been through a lot over the past couple of months, and my grandmother is struggling to maintain her independence. I’m doing my best to hold everything together for the people I love.

What might have seemed like small acts of kindness to your staff meant far more than they’ll ever know to us.

“Just happened to drop in to Randys on a roadtrip today - what a great find. Incredibly diverse menu, and everything we had was excellent, very affordable. Teamwork-type service meant that we never had to wait for anything. Great country cooking. Going to seek this place out on future trips.“

Their Greek Salad with grilled chicken and their Chicken Caesar Salad are great. The chicken is marinated, seasoned, and grilled, making it savory and juicy.

Their traditional bone-in Buffalo Wings are excellent. The largest wings I've had so far.

Their Strombolis and Calzones are great. Stuffed with your choice of options and baked golden brown. And a large is large. I can eat two to three meals from each.

Update 23Jun2024: If I get a stromboli from here, it is usually the Steak Special Stromboli. But today, I tried the New York Stromboli with ham, pepperoni, cheese, and other stuff with oregano and other spices on the crust. I can mumble, "WOW!" and "YUM!" But I can't say anymore because my mouth is full.“

“We came in a few days ago to eat and Katlin was our server! She went above and beyond to make sure our first experience here was awesome! She was on top of everything the entire time, she was also extremely friendly! My daughter and her instantly became besties! 💕 Overall we enjoyed our experience and we will definitely be coming back! “I love me some Waffle House! I usually only get breakfast items, but today, because of Savanah (Savi); I ate a great deluxe burger with cheese, bacon and grilled onions, lettuce and pickles with eggs on the side. It was so delicious, fresh and juicy. I didn't know it would be that good!
