The first time I ate here was today for lunch. The food was good and the service was exceptional. Just my opinion I like salmon Pattie’s cooked with minced onion and egg and either crumbled saltine crackers or half cup cornmeal not flour. The person with me got chicken pie which was ok but dark meat was used instead of white meat and a bit dry if it didn’t have gravy on top. But I do plan to return to try other dishes.
Excellent Sausage Gravy. Excellent Breakfast! Great Hand Pattied Burgers! Great Service!

Hoyt's Country Cooking is a delightful restaurant that serves fresh and delicious food. The service is fast and friendly, with staff who make sure guests have everything they need. The menu features a variety of options, including Monday's Chicken Pie, Wednesday's Country Style Steak, and salmon patties. The finger lickin' chicken sandwich with tots is also a popular choice. For breakfast, the smoked sausage omelet with mushrooms and Mexican cheese is a favorite, and for lunch, the Ghost pepper cheeseburger with bacon stands out. Recently, customers have raved about the Swiss mushroom burger and the amazing fries, noting their crispy exterior and soft potato inside, cooked in beef tallow. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a touch of nostalgia thanks to the Constitution of the United States displayed prominently in one of the front windows. Families enjoy dining here, with kids loving the hot dogs, including a Carolina style hotdog that many believe to be the best in Lexington. The staff is attentive and ensures orders are correct, making it a great spot for home cooking.
