“My wife and I made a reservation for Friday night and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised at the food, the service, and the ambience. For a small, cozy and quaint place the chef is absolutely outstanding. The meals were tasty, with fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. My wife asked if he would make her a vegetarian dish, and she said it was literally the best vegetarian meal she’s ever had. Everything was outstanding, and we were blown away to find such a wonderful dinner in a relatively small town. The service was also very polite, friendly and professional. Mike, the owner, grows wine in the French style of the Rhone valley. A super hidden gem amongst many other Vineyards focusing on sweeter wines. His syrah, grenache, viognier wines are delicious.

This boutique vineyard is a must to see if you are in the area where Curran Alexander and Childress are. Highly recommend making this as part of a three vineyard loop.”

The person with me got chicken pie which was ok but dark meat was used instead of white meat and a bit dry if it didn’t have gravy on top. But I do plan to return to try other dishes.”

“I had the pulled pork BBQ platter . The BBQ is delicious ! They give you large portions. The onion rings are the best I’ve had in a long time . The bake beans could be improved they taste like out of a can and not made fresh . They only offer one kind of slaw the vinegar which was good . My grandkids loved the shrimp! ! “Classic older style family Q joint. Clean, great food, decent portions, friendly laid back service. The hush puppies are tiny fun size balls and delicious. But, the dip is served warm in a small paper condiment cup. I like the bottles you can squirt or drizzle the dip onto the pups. And onto sandwich. Very hard to dip the teensy pups without immersing your fingers. That's the only thing I'd change but certainly not a show stopper. I'd recommend and would easily go again.”

I wish there was one in my home town. Great atmosphere, clean, modern and hosted by friendly people. “Very solid old-school bakery. We wanted a cake design and showed them a photo, and the cake designers thought it was too complex so we looked at another design and that was too complex, so we settled on an easier design, and they did a great job with that. (See photo).
This place is huge. And they are cranking out the cupcakes and the treats. Everything looked delicious, but since we were only there to pick up the cake, we did not buy any other products.

“I used to come here all the time as a kid back when I lived here before moving to Florida when I was 7. It was always my favorite place to get breakfast. Now 20 years later I'm back in town for a cousin's wedding (Congrats Alec!) and I simply had to eat here once before heading back down to Gainesville. Needless to say, the Gravy Biscuit is just as incredible as I remember it being, and SHOCKINGLY LESS THAN $4.00 FOR SOMETHING THIS GOOD, IN THIS ECONOMY. HOW??? Both the biscuits and gravy are both absolute perfection. I NEED you guys to open a franchise down in Florida so that I can actually get a proper breakfast every morning before work and maybe Gainesville will be slightly less miserable (You'll need to work hard on that though because the Gators are absolutely beefing it this year).

Parking: Pretty easy to get in and out of, didn't know they had a drive-thru but it was a pretty long line of cars when I was there earlier, so I just walked in and got a to-go order, then drove down to Southern Lunch (they were closed but the parking lot was still open) and ate breakfast in my car while watching some trains go by. Overall a good morning.”

Have tried many things on the menu and that has been my only real disappointment, then again it isn't a steak house. Waiters are always kind and accommodating of sauces and things. Only thing I'd do, would be to place napkins on the table if not, you will ask for more napkins if you get into your food like I do. Great place to eat. Be adventurous and get something other than a taco or burrito.

Food hot and big portions. Very tasty too. We got sesame chicken and General Tso chicken both so good. Egg rolls were best I have had in LEXINGTON! Great value as well. 37.00 for 3 dinners that none of us put a dent in so we will all have dinner tomorrow as well. Thank you”

“Best taco bell around lexington area! I frequent taco bells often as this is my favorite fast food place and I'm an independent contractor so I have to eat on the go often. This taco bell always has the freshest food, the beef is on point, the shells are always good and crunchy like they should be. They always put a good amount of sour cream on the whole entire taco, not just one side like most TB's do. I absolutely love this specific TB and will go out of my way to stop here. Not to mention Sheetz is directly beside of it so you can get your vehicle filled up and your belly filled up all on the same stop. The customer service is always very kind and professional and I have visited here multiple times in the last several weeks and I have yet to let down, I have yet to have any food missing from my order and the food is always so FRESH and hot, and it even taste good after a 20 minute drive home. The inside is always spotless also! Highly highly recommend to any and everyone!! UPDATE: Couple months later and the daytime crew knows how to cook. I can't say the same for the night shift.

After discussing this with management, I was charged .50 cents more than the new menu price was suppose to be. Management seemed to not care that I had been over charged at all. Once was a great place but, I am done with this type of customer service!!”

“Breakfast and first coffee of the day here at the Casa d'Waffle in Lexington. At 7:30 on Sunday morning, it was just starting to get busy so I wasn't able to sit at a table. Counter service today.

I went with the pecan waffle and that's it. Cooked perfectly and with enough pecans in there, a little dab of maple syrup and I was good. Three cups of coffee while I enjoyed my meal and dawdled a little to watch the customers. There's always a show at the Waffle House!

Vegetarian options: Hash browns with tomatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms would work.

Dietary restrictions: Ask about allergens. They do have peanut butter and pecans here.

Parking: It is not a very large parking lot, typical for Waffle House.

“Like most Americans these days, I am careful where my dollar bills get spent. Elizabeth's Pizza fills all my criteria, and then some. Taste? Man, it's Elizabeth's. Nuff said! Friendliness? Just enough where I feel like they are happy to see me come through the door, but not to make me feel smothered. Value? I can get a large cheese pizza for about $13, get full immediately and have enough left over to keep the munchies at bay for the rest of the night. Try that at Burger King. Speaking of which, with the way fast food burger places are raising their prices it seems that Elizabeth's is where you get the most bang for your buck. As much as I love their pizza (I worked in the pizza business for 3 decades, so I kind of know the ropes), my go to meal of late is the cheese steak hoagie. Superb! Who knows what it will be next week. There is a reason that place has stayed in business at that spot for so long while others come and go.
If I could change anything, I would have the owner give me free food forever. Not likely though.”

“I really liked the QR codes at the table. Basically you can seat yourself, scan the QR code, order your food, and then it gets delivered to your table. Really nice and efficient. Food was good as usual and was quick even with it being fairly packed. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a bit tricky and there is limited parking, but otherwise it's good.”
