“Today, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a dear friend, and together, we decided to visit the Children's Vineyards for a delightful brunch and a fun girls' day out. We savored the trifecta brunch alongside diverse wine tastings. Later, we basked in the ambiance of live music on the terrace while indulging in more wine tastings. With great conversations, lovely music, and perfect weather, our day couldn't have been any better. The vineyards provided an unforgettable experience, and I'm already looking forward to returning for more enjoyment.“

Weathervane Winery Wineries • $$
1452 Welcome-Arcadia Rd, Lexington

“Hubby and I did a tasting, he found 3 of 5 sweets to his liking. I enjoyed 2 of 5 dry. Lovely woman served us, knowledgeable. Bought a couple of bottles to enjoy on the relaxing patio, ate our picnic dinner while the sun went down. Music Bingo started. Unfortunately, the guy ran out of bingo cards. Next time :-) We'll be back.“

Native Vines Winery Wineries • $$
1336 NC-150, Lexington

“I've been coming to Native vines since around 2008 and it's been great to see the evolution of this winery. While I wouldn't necessarily categorize this as my favorite in the area, they've made a lot of improvements in the last few years, including additions to the property, such as a back patio and lawn area. They have a range of wines that skew to the sweet side (I'm more of a dry fan), but the dry reds they have are well priced sippers. The sangria is good for a party, and fans of sweeter wines will find a lot to enjoy in the apple, blackberry, and tea offerings. Really, I count this as a 3.5 stars given my palette, but I'm going four because of the nice people and focus on sweets.“
