Good food and service by Cody. Place a little noisy for a finer dining restaurant. In and out in one hour.

Our food was great and server was very attentive and professional. Live music in the other room but not too loud to interrupt our conversation.

The service and food quality was fantastic. We highly recommend. The ambiance was a little bright with closely spaced tables, but at the same time, remarkably quiet. We decided on scallops and Mahi in lieu of beef and were blown away. We will be back.

Before we got our food, we had to exchange 3 or the 12 pieces of silverware as three had food stuck on them. We had the shareable Brussel sprouts and they were ok. The sweet jam they added to them becomes too much after a few bites. My meal was by far the best of the three ordered. The scallops were cooked perfectly, the crab cake great, and I enjoyed the asparagus and hollandaise sauce though I think the sauce should have been warm. My son got the dry aged ribeye and had to wait 5 min to get a steak knife to eat it. Should be common sense to serve a steak knife with a steak. My husband got the seared tuna but the wasabi mashed potatoes were a bit off-putting. He likes wasabi and he likes potatoes but didn't think they were great combined. Not nearly as impressed as I wanted and hoped to be.

The ambience is kind of cafeteria-esq. Our waiter, while nice, was not what I would think a high end waiter would be. Too much joking around etc

The overall experience was good. Our server struggled. He was pleasant but had trouble getting order correct and he had difficulty with timing/remembering things asked for. Ambiance was ok, but lighting was odd - overhead lighting has all different kinds of bulbs so there was soft light and harsher bright whites all mixed up. Food was good but not exceptional. Sea bass was probably best meal of the 3 we ordered (we had a 6oz filet wrapped in bacon and the Chophouse chicken sandwich). This was our 1st experience there and will try others before going back.

I wasn't please that the manager Kate walked by my table over 10 times and did not once asked how we (black American) were doing .... But asked the other tables around us which were (white Americans). It was my Birthday and I wasn't pleased.

Lunch for a birthday celebration. Quiet setting, excellent filet mignon, bleu cheese dressing was yummy. Thanks.

Many menu options. Mushrooms in cabaret sauce were very tasty. Enjoyed cocktails and oysters Rockefeller.

Everything was exactly as we expected. The service was excellent and the food was superb as always. The brie and toast appetizer is the best.

Didnt meet my expectations as I had made reservations for our anniversary and they seated us in an unusual small table near the kitchen. It almost seemed that seating us was an inconvenience to them. Not impressed. Our server Cinnamon was very attentive and sending a private note to them would be non value added.

Opentable Diner

We started going to the Chop House for a good meal and for special occasions when the restaurant we had been going to closed (Paul's in WS). There everything was great, food, service, overall treatment of us as guests. Chop House was one of several we tried as a replacement. (We eat out 2-4 times a week or more.) Our favorite restaurant is GVG, but we don't go to any restaurant frequently enough have it become hum-drum. With that background, we began going to Chop House way back. Initially it was great, but through the years, it has taken a slow, but very perceptible slide, not in service, but in quality of food. This time service was great, but the food left a lot to be desired. We ordered an appetiser of baked brie. It had been diluted with a creamy sauce which, while flavorful, tasted nothing like brie. However, the cinnamon toast served with it was excellent, though not a normal choice to accompany brie. My salad was made with iceberg lettuce which should have been Romaine, but perhaps that's more of personal choice. Overall the salad was OK. My ribeye steak was perfectly cooked in the manner I requested, but the steak itself was not as good as one purchased at Harris Teeter. It was not well marbled and the flavor was all but non-existent. It was served with asparagus and a serving of hollandaise sauce. The asparagus had been roasted and was wonderful, but the hollandaise seemed to have come from a package. It resembled hollandaise only in color, failing in flavor, and consistency. The dessert was more of the same tasting as if it had come from a package. I would provide more info, but Open Table apparently feels as though 2000 characters is sufficient. If the reviewer has more to say, tough. PS; My wife was pleased with her Sea Bass and was happy she was allowed to customize the sides. She also liked her soup. Sorry we can't tell you more.

Server was not as attentive as you would expect. She didn't fill our tea until we asked and instead of bringing a fresh glass she brought tea with no ice. she didn't bring our bread until the steaks came but no big loss because they were just hard rolls. My husband asked for steak sauce and she didn't bring it until after he had ate half his steak and all of his potato. All the food except for the bread was excellent! It was crowded so maybe she was doing the best she could do.

The food was good. The service was not good. The server only came by the table approximately every 20-30 minutes. Our glasses were empty every time she came to the table. We have been here before and service was not this bad so it may have just been the server we had that night. But you would expect better service at a restaurant of this quality.

Our sever was very friendly and accommodating. Ran out of dinner rolls and the temperature was 76 inside. For us that's pretty warm. Ordered medium well prime rib and it was bright red and bloody. They did cook it more. The house salad was great and the value was okay. Probably won't return.
