The service was slow and the food was terrible. The decor and seating are more like a Golden Corral than an expensive restaurant and do not match the overpriced food. We didn’t get our salads before our steaks. Our steaks were cooked incorrectly. We were never even offered a steak knife. We left hungry after the kitchen messed up our order, even though we had been there for over an hour and a half with a reservation. Our special occasion was ruined. This was our first and last time eating at this restaurant. I am not sure how they are still in business.

The food was ok but pricey. My husband and our friends steaks were overcooked. All three requested medium well and they were seriously overcooked to the point of being tough and chewy. The manager adjusted the bill a little, but my friends left almost whole steak on their plates. Not a good thing given the price.

Don't waste your time and money.... Furnishings and decor are severely outdated. Staff was not what you would expect from a restaurant that charges $70 for a steak. Server didn't know how to present or even open our wine. She spilled it on the table. Music was Metallica?! And I could hear the kitchen yelling “runner” all evening. Not what I would expect from a restaurant where we dropped $350 for dinner for two people. Would not recommend nor will we return.

My mahi mahi was so hot it was not enjoyable and the asparagus ends were hard and not eatable The crab cakes were sweet and didn't taste like crab cakes The shrimp and grits was very good Harry Miller

We always have an amazing experience at The Chop House at Mendenhall. They always go above and beyond to make your dining experience special. The food is wonderful. The management and staff are top notch. They make every customer feel like a VIP. 10/10 would highly recommend.

We go to this restaurant often and have never ever been disappointed. The food is always great and the service excellent. On our last visit, my wife and I shared their fabulous chopped salad. Then she had lamb and I had salmon. Both were extremely well prepared. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
We had a wonderful experience with Karen. She delivered a phenomenal service overall. Food was great, atmosphere was awesome, the whole restaurant is clean and organized. I would highly recommend Karen, you’ll have fun! 😄
