The Chop House in High Point offers a charming, old-timey Gatsby vibe that's truly timeless. The atmosphere sets the stage for an elegant dining experience. The plating of the food is exquisite, boasting some of the prettiest presentations I've seen in a restaurant. And the flavors? They absolutely deliver on the menu's promises. But what really sets this place apart are the drinks. Phenomenal and unique options abound, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. However, our experience was marred by our server, who seemed overwhelmed by our larger party of eight. While friendly, she often needed to clarify our requests, which slowed down the service. The most frustrating part came when I wanted just a bite of my fiancé's meal to try, and our server insisted on bringing an extra plate for me without mentioning an additional charge for "sharing" the meal. This lack of transparency felt unprofessional. Despite this hiccup, we still had a lovely time and would consider returning, hoping for smoother service next time.

Dined here last night everything was fresh and delicious food. The service our waitress provided was top notch she was very efficient and attentive! The ambiance was great we had a nice table and the temperature in the room was pleasant! We always come here at least once when we are in town and it never disappoints! We had the chopped salad with grilled shrimp and the Ahi tuna special!!

One of my favorite restaurants! I get to play music here often. I have gotten to know the staff and they are so friendly and attentive. A great place to kick off the weekend on a date with your honey

I highly recommend this restaurant for the ones that have not spolied themselves at home with they way they cooked their preferred dishes. I had previously made reservations for my Wife's and I wedding anniversary and we did not get the same treatment as we have had at other restaurants (for example Ruth's Chris) post Covid if I might add. We have had a reserved space and certain things provided be the restaurant to help celebrate the occasion. You know like a side dish with the heart designed drawn out with "Happy Anniversary" written. At Chop House we didn't receive that type of welcoming or layout. Just asked if we were interested in a booth or a table? This was only my second time going and my Wife had the Mayi Maui, and it was basically still swimming with no flavor with in the meat. They did happily swap it out for Salmon special, and it was sort of the same. If you're going for the dry aged ribeye, you would be highly upset. Just go to Sam's club and get some nice thick ones for about $40 and smoke it at home with your choice of wood flavor. Just go ahead and shoot for the Tomahawk at this place.

This pains me to write, as it is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service. The food was shockingly subpar, especially for the price. My friend ordered the crab cakes that were huge, but accompanied by plain cubed breakfast potatoes that you see at a cheap motel. No sauce, o seasoning. The brussel sprouts - overcooked mush, highly disappointing. Tenderloin Medallions - I can't. Small filets with the same breakfast potatoes, but at least it was mixed with greens. Chopped salad with filet - delicious, but one of the filets had brussel running through it.. Shocking that it's the same amount of meat as the above, at a much less cost. Ordered a tall vodka, came out like a short double. Beautiful restaurant, sad about the food.

It was a busy night at The Chop House. Service was very good with timely attention. Lately, we've been enjoying the Small Plate Options. I tried the Lamb Shank for the first time. It was outstanding. The meat was cooked to perfection. It is honestly one of the best meals I've had in recent memory. The lobster was also properly cooked.

Service was attentive and prompt. Our waitress was sharp and paid attention. We really liked her. Food was mediocre for the price point. The handcut ribeye steak was lack luster tasting more like 3rd rate Select cut; sinewy, tough, poor flavor. For the price point you would think the cut would be 1st rate or at least 2nd. There was very little Millard on the steak leaving you wanting for flavor. The famous blue crab bisque tasted & smelled more like browned butter than crab & cream or sherry. The lobster mac'n cheese tasted like there was imitation crab. The pasta noodles were over cooked so they fell apart and you could not see a single noodle. It was similar to a mashed casserole. My Manhattan was heavy on the vermouth. When your customer requests a cocktail with a certain bourbon you should pay attention to how you're making it. At the end of the meal I expected the server to box everything up for you. I know that is a restaurant policy not a server issue. The ambiance gave 90's hotel conference room. I think there was live music in the bar area. It sounded good but it was competing with the dining room ‘musac'. For the amount per person, go to Bin 54 in Chapel Hill, Ray's, or even Ruth's Cris for a better dining experience. We will not be back nor would we recommend it to others.

Fantastic atmosphere. Peaceful business lunch. Service was professional and friendly. And the food was delicious. Will definitely return. AND that chocolate cake is dangerously yummy along with the chocolate ice cream ball. Definitely going back. Bravo!

Had an excellent Saturday night dinner! I had the hand cut ribeye with Brussels Sprouts and my wife had a chop salad. Our appetizer was the baked Brie. All three dishes were outstanding. Our server Ashanti was an absolute delight to meet and went above and beyond to take care of us. Highly recommend this establishment.

Service was the best, on top of everything. Food was solid but for the price I expected much more.

Very slow lunch crowd on 2-28-24, my friend’s crab cake sandwich was obviously microwaved and was still cold in the middle. Sent it back, meanwhile my lunch had came. I was finished eating before his remade sandwich arrived. $100 meal with drinks - never had a manager visit our table to apologize, no discount or complimentary dessert offered. Very poor response to our entire lunch ruined by the kitchen - that a manager didn’t try to make it right is inexcusable.

The evening went well except for the food. Way over-priced for what was served. The "aged" ribeye tasted no different than the "normal" one. I selected based on the server's commitment it would be awesome. In fact, it was chewy with ligaments. 20-30% was inedible. I actually thought the normal one was better. I have had better at Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn. For a $150 bill, nothing special. Sad, we do not have a restaurant that serves true PRIME beef.

The meat was delicious. Nothing else was up to expectations. I have eaten here a number of times, and this was definitely the worst experience we have had there. The bread was cold and hard. The potato came with nothing on it as ordered. It took a period of time for the waitress to bring accompaniments or to freshen drinks. I expected much better for the price of the dinner.
