Seems overpriced for quality of the food. I really hate the fact that most restaurants are going to the service yourself but still want you to put a tip on the receipt. What for? I order at the counter, I get my own drink, I clean the table. Even at the counter you yell from across the way "what can I get you".
I have tried the other Country Express and it's definitely better.Tried to order a combo for 2, wanted chicken and pulled pork.We got a ton of pork and 1 chicken breast. Chciken was flavorful but very dry. Pork was also dry and didn't have much flavor.Hush puppies were excellent. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant.I'll probably steer clear of the express and stick to the regular restaurant.
I ordered lunch at the drive thru and didn't receive any silverware. I parked and went in to get some. The lady who was working the drive thru, with heavy black eyeliner, ignored me and looked away when I said "excuse me, ma'am, I just need some silverware." She looked absolutely miserable. No one was at the window, and no one was ordering outside, as I'd just come in from there. The young girl who was taking orders, thankfully, handed me some. Perhaps...
