I had the BEST experience with Dave and Gianno’s catering on our wedding day!!! Dave is so responsive and accommodating— and curated an incredible menu with options to fit any dietary requirements! We offered guests a variety of hors d'oeuvres ranging from vegetarian to seafood and our buffet had a variety of delicious proteins, carbs and sides to complete the meal! Dave and his staff were an absolute pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them.
We had an excellent experience having Giannos cater our wedding. Chef Dave was very willing to call us and talk through every detail leading up to our event. We have had multiple guests share with us that the food was absolutely delicious! We had the beef tips, risotto, and portobello mushrooms for our dinner in addition to the gelato bar and champagne cart - we are so appreciative of all of the hard work that the Giannos team put into making our event everything we wanted!
Dave and his crew are top notch!
Giannos catering was amazing for our wedding. We got so many compliments on the food. We did buffet style. The food was warm, delicious and wonderful presentation. Their on-site team and bartenders were absolute gems. They always had smiles on their faces. They were prompt on setup..and efficient. The planning process was seamless, very easily to work with and very responsive. Can't say enough good things about them.
We had Giannos as our caterer booked with an all inclusive wedding venue they service regularly. Dave was kind and easy to communicate with. We had samples of several dishes prior to choosing our menu. We chose a pasta bar for our cocktail hour. We selected salmon, parmesan risotto, and what was supposed to be pesto veggies for the entree and sides. We discussed our menu and had corrections made after there were mistakes. Once we had the correct menu, we signed off on it. Fast forward to day of, we had two sauce options we had chosen. One was supposed to be a pesto cream, but we were served regular cream/Alfredo sauce. It was still good, but not what we agreed on. As far as the entrees, we had agreed on pesto veggies, and we were served regular steamed veggies which ended up being pretty bland. That is why we wanted the pesto. Additionally, the risotto was extremely overcooked to the point where several of our guests commented on the texture and taste. The salmon was pretty good and the service seemed to be quick. But it was disappointing putting work into selecting a specific menu for our wedding and not getting what we asked for. Our guests were still able to enjoy the meal, I just think it could have been much better.
Would definitely not recommend their catering services. Kellen and Chef Dave made lots of promises and talked up their catering services for our wedding when we tasted with them. However, the day of the wedding they were over an hour late. Myself (the bride) and the wedding planner were calling Kellen and Dave minutes before walking down the aisle with no answer or response. The food truck finally showed over an hour late and then wanted to know where the table was for the appetizers, even though we had been assured several times that they were providing tables and table clothes for the food. Then, they ran out of forks and I had guests eating salads with their fingers. We signed a contract saying that the food would be served for 5 hours and they closed up the pizza truck after about 3. We were also promised during the tasting that there would be no line for the buffet because they like to get people through, however there was the longest line I’ve seen for food. Overall the experience was disappointing, stressful, and the caterers were unprepared. We talked to Chef Dave after the fact and there was no apology or reimbursement. Do not use their catering services, especially for your wedding.
Dined on a Saturday night at 5:30. The place was busy and there were people already waiting for a table. We called ahead for a reservation and were seated promptly. We were in town for a wedding in nearby Greensboro, and we had one night to dine out so we picked this recommended Italian spot. We are glad we drove the 20 minutes and got to experience this popular restaurant. We tried the crab cake appetizer that is served with very delicate onion rings – it was quite tasty. Salads were fairly large considering it was only the included salad. Their house salad dressing was amazing, but my husband thought the Caesar was just so-so. Husband tried prosciutto chicken served with spaghetti noodles in alfredo. The dish was very rich, and was good, but not as good as my dish. (also, the serving size is very large. When we asked our waitress about size of the entrees, she indicated that it might not be enough to be shared, but we didn’t find that the case at all. So I’m not sure if that was just her perspective or if she was trying to upsell the meal. When asking her about the wine options, I didn’t get the feeling she could confidently speak to them, but she was sure to recommend the most expensive bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Sometimes the most expensive bottle is not necessarily the best.) I tried the classic lasagna. It was so good: many layers of noodles & cheese, and a good amount of red sauce for us (some might think it a little heavy.) I think there could have been a little more beef in it, but otherwise I can’t say I’d change a thing. Things that could be improved – timing between courses. We had the appetizer and then ordered our meal. Salads came out rather quickly, but then our main dishes followed within 5 minutes.
We had Gianno’s cater our wedding and rehearsal dinner. Dave is so kind, helpful, and easy to work with. He is very responsive and went out of his way to accommodate our needs and make sure we were happy with our selections. Our guests loved the food! Highly recommend!!!!
Dave and his staff catered our daughter's wedding. They created a traditional El Salvadoran dinner since the groom and many of the guests were from there. We were blown away with the service and we had so many guests tell us how delicious dinner was. Dave and his staff even took care to prepare a special plate for my daughter who has some severe food allergies. I highly recommend Giada's in Kernersville. Easy to work with, great service and delicious food.

We love the wood fired pizza oven! Always delicious and friendly staff. Can’t go wrong with eating in the restaurant either!
Giannos Wood Fired Catering is outstanding! My husband and I used them to cater our wedding of about 100 guests. They brought heavy hors d'oeuvres and their mobile pizza oven which was an exciting way to serve dinner. All delicious and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We look forward to using them again for our next event. Thank you guys!
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the catering services provided by your company for our recent show. The experience was far below our expectations and we were left feeling incredibly dissatisfied.Firstly, the attitude of your owner or manager name is Dave was unprofessional and unwelcoming from the outset. It was clear that they were not interested in providing a quality service and were merely going through the motions. This was reflected in the poor quality of the food, which was cold and unappetizing.Overall, our experience with your catering company was extremely disappointing and we will not be using your services again in the future. We will also be sure to share our negative experience with others in our industry who may be considering using your services.
Catering experience was awful, all of the food was cold. We had to reheat them up. First time I ate ice cold scrambled eggs.....
I often spend fairly big bucks to eat Italian, and it's usually worth it. I can honestly say Giannos' food is second to none without the big price tag. We've never had a bad meal, the service (in spite of pandemic-related shortages) is good and the food is hot and fresh. I often take a chance and "create my own" pasta - that seems to work, as well. (Hint: the vodka sauce is excellent.) We'll be back, and not just because it's locally owned and operated.
