On Saturday, December 20th, we had a group of 16 people getting together to watch the 5pm football game. I called earlier in the day and said we were coming and was told they would not reserve a spot, they don't take reservations, all their seating is first come, first served. After talking with our group we decided to get there at 4 to better our chances of sitting together. The first to arrive were my husband, friend "A", and I. I said we had a group of 16 and asked if we could be sat together in the stage area. The reply was that we couldn't because that area was already reserved. Irritating because *do* they take reservations or don't they? When I asked why a different group was allowed to reserve, the employee replied that it was a corporate party. Ok. Whatever. The 3 of us sat down. Shortly after 4 more friends came. Then 2 friends after that. Then 1 friend I will call friend "B". Then another. Then a couple. Then 2 more. Then our last friend. At the end of the game when we all got our checks, we were told by our server (who was very sweet and incredibly attentive to every one of us) that her manager had added an automatic gratuity to our checks. Restaurants do that, I get it, but the first thing that bothered me was that it was 20% and not the typical 18%. Again, not a big deal. If that's their policy then so be it. I turned to friend A and friend B (they were each paying separately and had come at completely different times) to make sure they also saw the automatic gratuity and the server stopped us and said "actually no, for some reason your two checks were the only ones the manager did not add a gratuity to". Weird, right? Because they weren't together. They didn't arrive at the same time. They weren't the first or last to arrive/order. So what could these two gentlemen have had in common that caused them to be treated differently than the rest of the group? Allow me to tell you. They were the only people of color in our group. What could it mean? What was the intent? I can only guess. But surely, in the year 2025 we couldn't possibly still be doing garbage like this as a business, can we? I am shocked. Disappointed. Embarrassed. And worried for our society. Do better, Rixters.

My wife Christy and I decided to stop by for a quick lunch. Our waitress was Megan! I've never met her before and came away with an amazing first impression. Food was perfect as usual! However, in my opinion, service is the key to any restaurant experience. Megan deserves a raise!! My wife and I both agree that Megan has elite people skills! She made us laugh and made sure our experience was beyond perfect. Great job Megan! We'll be asking for you every time we eat at Rixters!!

Nice vibe but very confused that you are not allowed to “ask” for a certain flavor high noon or seltzer. Either the bartender or management said you cannot ask for a flavor but only advise of flavors you “do not want” especially when they are “busy”. We are basically in High Point, NC.. love NC but currently live in NYC where restaurants are constantly packed and no bartender has ever said customers are not allowed to request flavors.

This was my first time here. My sister and I had lunch and it was great. I had to take Kelly up on her offer to drop in and I'm glad we did. Kelly is absolutely amazing, her energy is everything! Kelly, you rock. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back.

This place has creepy people and rude staff. My friend and I are both 23 and went to have a drink at the bar. The bartenders took my friends drink away from her and told her to leave . We both have valid IDs and did nothing wrong. They didn’t even tell her what she did wrong. Needless to say I will not be going back and I don’t recommend this place at all.
