Two night stay; Called front desk to report no Body Wash in dispenser; Left around 10:30–saw housekeeping down the hall; returned at 5–room not serviced. Called front desk; No service available—no apologies; manager refused to see me or return calls; finally manager emails and says my do not disturb sign was out: Total LIE! Inept housekeeping; Inept management! It all starts at the top; Find a better option!!!!
We stayed here overnight on way to beach. The hotel was nice and the stay was pleasant. There is a restaurant called the Bistro where you can buy breakfast and extra coffee as the room only had two Keurig K cups. Warning the pool is undergoing a renovation and is closed till September 2022. The hotel is next to an abandon mall, which didn’t bother us and was actually quite quiet. When we arrived the water wasn’t working due to a break near the mall so we had to decide weather to stay or go somewhere else. After hearing most places near by we’re booked we decided to take a chance. Went to dinner and came back and water was fixed, thank god. We went and bought some bottle water at near by target so at least we had something to brush teeth with. Would have been nice if the hotel offered us some bottle water or maybe discount on room for inconvenience. Overall every thing worked out and I would say here again.
We stopped and stayed here on the way to Myrtle Beach. The hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious. I am in a power wheelchair so it was nice to have a large room and a large bathroom with a nice roll in shower. Toni was very helpful with our check-in and answering any questions that we had. They have plenty of areas to relax. They have a beautiful courtyard with plenty of seating along with seating on the inside of the hotel. The only downside of this hotel is that there is no breakfast. It is made to order and it is a little on the pricey side. However, we had a great experience and would definitely return.
Very nice front desk and Bistro staff…this is an older property and whoever picks out the furniture should have to live with it. The mini couch in the room was very uncomfortable and the cushions that were removed for covid have yet to be returned. Even with them, ugh. The height of the toilet is for kids! Same as at Hickory property. They should learn from the Pigeon Forge property with adult height toilets.
I Am A "Mariott Rewards Member" & A Loyal "Marriott Hotel Guest" For Many Years Now. I Would Have Rated My Hotel Guest Experience With FIVE STARS But I Was Approached Yesterday By A Male Restaurant Employee In An Unprofessional/Unwelcoming Way! I Was On The Complimentary Computer & An African American Male Restaurant Employee Approached Me With "I Know Who You Are & I Saw You When You Entered The Hotel." He Then Informed Me That The Complimentary Computer Is For Hotel Guests Only WITHOUT EVEN Asking Me If I Had A Hotel Reservation Or If I Was A Hotel Guest!! I Communicated With Jennifer-"Front Desk" That Was Friendly & Professional That Made Me Feel Special As A "Marriott Hotel Guest". I Feel Based On My Gender & Race That Was The Reason Why I Was Approached Unprofessional That Made Me Feel Unwelcomed As A "Marriott Hotel Guest"! I Had A Moment Where I Wanted To CRY! I Am Thankful For Jennifer-"Front Desk" That Was Friendly & Professional To Me As A "Hotel Guest". My Hotel Room Was Very Spacious, Clean & Comfortable Which I Expect At "Marriott Hotel". The Hotel Lobby Is Very Visually Attractive & So Is The Gazebo As Well. PLEASE Communicate To The Male Restaurant Employee To Approach ALL Hotel Guests In A Professional Manner Concerning A Hotel Guest's Reservation At This Hotel Property When He Sees Hotel Guests Using The Hotel's Complimentary Computer In The Future!! I Really Need To Communicate As Well To The "General Manager" Amoy & Antoinette Johnson-"Guest Services Manager" On My Hotel Guest Experience Concerning The Restaurant Male Employee!!
The rating here is accurate and deserved. The hotel was clean, the room comfortable and the staff attentive. The people working the front desk were warm, management placed a hand-written greeting note in my room, and I appreciated the team that worked in the bistro.. As a side note, I tip my hat to the cook - the breakfast burrito in particular was huge and tasty. As a counterpoint, the gym was a bit small, but ok. My son appreciated the hot tub. All in all, this Courtyard is a good hotel with a great staff in a safe location.
My husband and I are staying here tonight and the first room they gave us smelt like cigarette smoke so strong we had to move to another room and then the second room also smelt like cigarette smoke. They are supposed to have a no smoking policy and when they came to our room to verify what it smelt like they acted as if we were the ones smoking in it and said it didn’t smell like that anywhere else. The maintenance guy came to our room and just opened our door without allowing us to come and open it for him.. what if I had not been decent and needed to get dressed? It has been very unprofessional. They could have at least discounted our room. We paid $260 a night to stay in a cigarette smelling room and could have paid $50 at a motel 6.
Great location for hotel. Felt safe and clean. Staff was friendly but I could tell they were understaffed. Still they made it a great experience! No upgrades available due to sold out but the room was spacious. Good snacks up front but no continental breakfast. I’m not fond of the bistro. Stayed for baseball and only had one washer/dryer.
This hotel was wonderful. Everything from the friendliness of the staff to the clean rooms was excellent. Although housekeeping is available upon request The staff made sure anything we needed was immediately given to us I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Refrigerators in the room. Breakfast in the lobby. Good Wi-Fi. Very convenient to High Point University. Reasonably priced. Close to restaurants and supermarkets.
Restaurantji Recommends
We recently stayed here while shopping for furniture in High Point and I was extremely pleased with the hotel. It is clean, well designed and has a great little care. They adhered to Covid-19 rules and the staff was friendly and polite. Our room was decorated like a 5 star hotel and spacious. I would recommend absolutely and was very pleased. Thank you to this Marriott for their kindness and hospitality. It has everything you need.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was updated and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The amenities in the room were very nice. There was water cooler on my floor with the ice machine. The restaurant was very clean and the breakfast was good. The staff were super nice and professional.
This was my 2nd stay here... and this visit was just awful. The check-in was slow and unorganized. The room was dirty. The sink was dirty. The bar tender tried to short change me. And argued with me about the Bill I used to cash out. (I paid with a $50 Bill). She insisted that I paid using a $20 Bill. Eventually I convinced her to check her cash draw. ( I am 100% convinced that this was on purpose. She tried to steel from me). Turns out: she was wrong. She found the $50 Bill in her draw and tried to tell me a crazy story about how she had made the mistake. She was literally making up a stupid, unbelievable story and it was an obvious lie. This stay was a disaster!!! I will never stay here again.
Great place to eat after a long drive. So wonderful to have delicious, fresh food! Good vegetarian options too. Nothing like the typical hotel food.
Absolutely delicious! Fantastic service.
