I was traveling on business and decided to pop in without a reservation. I was lucky to get a table and I was so impressed with the quality of the food. I ordered the crab bisque and the oyster salad for a light dinner. It was all prepared exceptionally well. The price is worth the quality here. I will come back!

Server was very good. Calamari was good. My shrimp and grits was absolutely awful .Ice cream scoop of grits was lumpy, cool and mixed into a nondescript sauce with sausage cubes that were almost microscopic in size. Shrimp were nondescript. Would have sent the meal back but didn't want to disrupt the dinner. The trout dinner was basically tasteless and what came with was very cool and bland. Oyster salads needed some more...oysters that's why it's called an oyster salad. VERY disappointed. Had a good experience previously and brought a couple new to the restaurant. Will not be back.

My first time here, my wife and daughter have been here a few times before. GREAT service from Margaret Ann and other staff members. Friendly, cozy tables, the vibe and atmosphere is excellent. Our food was high quality, fresh and cooked to order (chicken, halibut, filet) and sides were all excellent. Good desert choices (key lime pie, crème brûlée, after dinner drinks). The bar atmosphere is cozy, friendly bartenders. Really enjoyed my experience here and I know my daughter is bringing other relatives there next week and booking her HPU grad dinner there.

Dinner at Blue Water Grille was a truly exceptional experience. The menu features a range of fresh seafood, steaks, and other delicious dishes that are sure to satisfy. To start, we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes & Smoked Trout which was a perfect appetizer. The buttermilk-dredged green tomatoes were crispy and delicious, and the NC smoked trout and creme fraiche were a delightful pairing. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Miso Glazed Halibut, which was expertly prepared and full of flavor. I, on the other hand, went for the Beef Bourguignon, a classic dish that was rich, hearty, and oh-so-satisfying. The service throughout our meal was impeccable, and the staff made sure that we were both comfortable and well taken care of. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the food to the quality of the service, was a true testament to the passion and dedication of their team. The ambiance of the mid-century modern dining room was relaxing and intimate, and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making for a truly enjoyable evening. We would definitely recommend Blue Water Grille to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in High Point. We can’t wait to go back!

One of the best oyster salads anywhere. Fresh, well dressed and excellent oysters. Not too filling but always satisfying.

This is a wonderful place if you are looking for high quality, unique food. The blending of flavors and spices was so fantastic! I had the House Salad, which is NOT a traditional house salad. I should have taken a picture, it was so beautiful. Then I had the BBQ Duck Small Plate. Best food that I had in the High Point/Greensboro area!

This is an american restaurant catering to the over 60 crowd. They have decided they want to be something else. Both specials tonight were mexican dishes. If I wanted that, I would go to a cheaper mexican restaurant. Mussels have been great for years. Now they have ruined them. Why do they feel they need to change just to change. If it was working, leave it alone. that's why people return. I guess Lu Lu and Blu will get my business. Someone needs to talk to the chef. This is an old place you could count on. Not anymore. Blue Magnola's menu is a mess. Now this one is messed up also. Good luck appealing to the young crowd that does not eat there.

This is a university owned restaurant. We had a company lunch today and I filled my belly.

It is a small restaurant in an out of the way location, but do not let that fool you. The food is great and they have some interesting selections on the menu. If you are not from the South, Shrimp and Grits is interesting and pretty good. Service was good - if you are in High Point for the Furniture market, make reservations well in advance

Blue Water Grill in HP on State St is amazing. Shows up as best in HP on like Trip Advisor and other but somehow never really knew about it in the 20 years we’ve been here. HOLY SMOKES. best crab dip ever and we’re a little picky about crab dip. Great salad. We had crab cakes, grouper, tuna, a salmon special and the Mac n cheese with shrimp. Each meal was perfect. Grouper delish, Tuna cooked to perfection , true light crab cake that was all crab and some of the best Mac n cheese at a restaurant. Bread pudding, creme brûlée and key lime pie for dessert also excellent. From the greeting to the cocktails to the check all perfection. Food, service, all of it. It’s not cheap nor should it be. Not an everyday dinner but our new favorite special occasion place in HP and the area.

One of the greatest campus restaurants. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is incredible. FYI: Not open to the public, not sure why it's on google maps.

Went to the Blue Water after making a reservations to be seated " overlooking the water" based on another TA review. Host laughed & said " Well, we can seat you by the fish TANK" & thats exactly where we were. Food & drinks were SUPERB!

Butter that went with bread was too salty and the Larger Plate Tuna was too salty. I enjoyed the cucumber smash martini. The margarita had too much ice.

I saw the Trip Advisor rating of #1 for High Point and was already slated to stay at the JH Adams Inn and noticed we could walk there. We were heading to town on short-notice and I only reached out Friday and explained that I needed a reservation for three (wife and cousin traveling with us) and possibly more like 6 if we could get our family in-town to join us for dinner Saturday, the following night (7/31) at 7:30. She said that was fine, she'd book us for 3-6 and let her know when I knew. We drove down Saturday and on the way I spoke to her and said it seemed we would be joined by 4 so we would be 7. She said no problem, see you at 7:30 for 7 and so it was. Dinner and drinks were wonderful, table had a variety of dishes and everyone was quite pleased with their choices, what more could you want? Our server gave us his full attention and was on-point. A great dining experience. In fact, I intend to stay in the same hotel and dine at Blue Water Grill each time I return to High Point going forward. The food was that good.
