When I first heard a new bar would be opening after Hams, I wasn’t sure anything could ever top the memories that place held. But The Podium has exceeded every expectation. I live over 25 minutes away, and I still choose this bar over any in my own town.
From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere, everything is consistently exceptional. And the owner—who I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know and truly adore—puts her heart into every inch of this business. Whether she’s scheduled to work or technically off, she’s always present, making sure everything runs smoothly. She looks far beyond profit; she genuinely cares about the well-being, safety, and satisfaction of every guest who walks through the door.
I would recommend this place 10,000% to anyone I know now or meet in the future. The Podium is so much more than a bar—it’s a family.

Cool place, lots of room. The menu is bot big but the staff is friendly and helpful. Great alcohol selection clean restrooms and a pretty extensive gaming room. Would definitely watch any sports game at anytime here.

I thought i had found my new football spot in High point. The first stop was decent, the bar tender was attentive, kind and very attentive ...she always had a smile. Last Saturday I went back in and 2 dudes were behind the bar, requested that I leave my card w/ him if I were to open a tab, which BTW the previous visit there was no such mention. This is at noon thirty or so, I was one of maybe 7 people there. I paid for my one beer and left. Where I had planned on staying until after the Alabama SC game turn into 1 beer. I am 65 and I am not leaving my CC with anyone. He was rude enough that I will not return. Its a shame what inexperienced, rude bar tenders can do to a business.

First time coming since it’s been The Podium. Food was good but the service was excellent. Highly recommend sitting at the bar and if you have Nate as your bartender you won’t need for a thing. He was personable and very attentive with anything we needed. Only critique was the dj had the kareoke and speakers way too loud. (And I’m a fan of kareoke. Good, bad and ugly) It made talking to their staff difficult. The participants in karaoke were good. It was just turned up way too loud. Still a great experience, Nate himself made it worth coming back.

They have renovated and changed the name from Ham's to the Podium but if you've been here before, you just know. To me the staff and service is even better than it was b4 and I'm a Hams vet. I've only had the hot chips, but they were great. Give it a shot, the atmosphere and servers are great.
