Great food. Charming and attentive service. Love this place.
El Agave in Highlands Plaza has me in a tortilla chokehold and I’m not even mad about it. The house made tortillas are unreal, no one else in town does this and you can taste the love in every bite. My favorite is the Sope De Pollo with cilantro, onion, refried beans, chicken and queso fresco piled high on top. The green salsa is sooo fresh it honestly steals the show. I could eat this every day and never get tired of it. 🌮💚
This is a great Mexican restaurant. I highly recommend it.

El Agave in Highlands Plaza offers excellent food and great service in a comfortable and chillable atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming, providing great service. The chips are fresh and made in-house, served with fresh, flavorful salsa that is not too spicy, and a delicious hot sauce that is a little bit sweet. The house made tortillas are unreal.
Specific dishes receive high praise, including the seafood nachos with shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, and squash, the Sope De Pollo, the best chicken quesadilla, and very meaty street tacos. The rice is also noted as really good. For drinks, the margaritas are delicious and excellent, with specific mention of a fair-priced pina colada margarita. The bar is well stocked.
The overall experience is highly recommended, with great prices and reasonable bills. The seating is comfortable and there are big screen TVs, creating a definite place to return to.
