We stopped in for lunch and had a great experience! The chips, dips, margaritas and food were all excellent and great prices too! Great service, I would definitely be here often if I was local

Pretty decent place. I had the seafood nachos and a medium pina colada margarita and both were delicious. The seafood nachos had shrimp, scallops, thick cut mushrooms and squash, all perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had them add sliced avocado as well & think next time I’ll add diced tomatoes to round it out. The pina colada margarita was $10 which I felt was very fair for the size. The mix curdled a little just because coconut & lime just do that, but it didn’t bother me because I knew why. Tasted good! The chips are fresh and made in-house and the salsa was fresh and flavorful and not too spicy. The bill was $30 which is about average I’d say. Friendly staff. Comfortable seating. I’ll definitely be back!

Great food. Charming and attentive service. Love this place.
El Agave in Highlands Plaza has me in a tortilla chokehold and I’m not even mad about it. The house made tortillas are unreal, no one else in town does this and you can taste the love in every bite. My favorite is the Sope De Pollo with cilantro, onion, refried beans, chicken and queso fresco piled high on top. The green salsa is sooo fresh it honestly steals the show. I could eat this every day and never get tired of it. 🌮💚
I had the best chicken quesadilla I’ve ever eaten here tonight!!
The service was great, staff was welcoming and the price was reasonable.
I don’t know why I have not gone here before!! I’ll be back!!!! Five stars for this restaurant!!!
Thank you. 😊

Ooh I love the street tacos here
I got one chicken, one carnitas and one steak
Very meaty and well balanced ingredient mix
That said they were also loaded tacos so the portion size was more than adequate
Delicious flavor wise!
I love the hot sauce as well
A little bit sweet and not too spicy
Excellent, friendly service
Some big screen tvs if you want to catch the game or some highlights
A well stocked bar and overall chillable atmosphere
Definitely recommend

I highly recommend El Agave for their food and service. We were seated quickly and were greeted with a smile. The margaritas were delicious as were the chips and salsa. We each had quesadillas (Ranchero me and Fajita style for hubby). We were both very impressed with our dishes…even the rice that I usually don’t eat at other restaurants but theirs was really good! I usually don’t leave reviews but El Agave definitely deserves this one. I hope everyone will support this business so we can visit again next time we are in Highlands.

We came in for lunch with some friends while on vacation. 6 total people. Our lunch was great and food came out quick & hot. Our server Fanny did an awesome job. All orders came out perfectly. Also the bathrooms were very clean which we greatly appreciate.

Margaritas were great and their patio is cute. Food was meh. My food (El Camala) was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. Like a literal salt lick- it was awful. Had my husband try to confirm that it wasn’t just me. The meat in my dish was all grilled- chicken, beef, chorizo, and shrimp. The only thing I kept were the grilled shrimp so I could put them in a tortilla to have something for dinner. They offered to remake, but I did not want to wait much longer as my husband was eating his meal. They charged me $12 instead of $17 for the grilled shrimp and 2 tortillas I ate. You could
tell they thought I was being rude by saying it was too salty and I just wanted to keep the shrimp. I wasn’t.
We tried the new spot, but will continue to go to Vaqueros down the street. We would maybe come here to enjoy the patio and margaritas.
