Had occasion to dine here while driving through the area. I have to admit that my taste of BBQ tends to be more Georgia and Texas. But I have to admit, this had a great taste to it, the brisket was smoked very well and had a great flavor. the chicken was better than the brisket. The only let down was that both were a tad bit dry so I put a small amount of sauce on a couple of pieces. The sauces are a let down compared to the flavor of the meat alone, so I choose to stay with the meat and drink more Sweet Tea. Sides were Tater tots which were actually cooked correctly, nice and crisp, not soggy or over done. The coleslaw was fine, nothing bad or great. Overall it was a great meal. The meats were GREAT!

Truly some of the best barbecue in the south. It is hard to find amazing ribs and smoked wings and they have some of the best. The hush puppies are how they are supposed to be made and the burnt ends do not disappoint. Their beer is fresh from the tap—worth every penny and worth the drive.

Food is subpar at best. Amazing how $70 can get you gruel and acetone flavored chicken salad. Not to mention we didn’t receive a side of the acetone salad we ordered. Smoked meat can have flavor but this meat definitely doesn’t. Anyone that enjoys food from this place has obviously never tasted seasoning before. Spinx has better brisket for $7.Edit 1/20/24 - Notice how every response towards a negative review is either calling them spam or being disingenuous. Funny most places can handle a critique but yall cant even seem to do that. At the end of the day you could serve spam and it would be better than whatever the hell you’re serving now. Thanks for the pity 15% off in my email btw

A must visit anytime you are in Highlands. Staff are super friendly and the food is even better. Portions are generous for the price. Best BBQ in town hands down!
Food and beer were great. Just visiting but if I come back I will hit this spot.
