This seems like a nice place. I love family run businesses because they are usually pretty friendly. This is not the case the young girl behind the counter. Who claims to be Jay's daughter is extremely rude and misleading. Their menu is also extremely misleading When I explain to her it was misleading. She told me she didn't think She needed to teach me how to read. I set in my car to eat my meal. It was a takeout order. I walked back in to get a few condiments when I asked her for salt packet. She said sorry I'm all out. I walked back out. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, the rude girl was the manager claiming to be Jay's daughter. She's then told me they're salt on the table. I said why didn't you just tell me that she said? I thought you could look around yourself. All of this happened after I told her. This is my first time here. I'm going to look at the menu for a moment. She knew I was not a regular customer. She did not tell me about the upcharge for the sides I Opted with my meal again. She tells me I didn't think I had to tell you how to read. They are lucky they have regular customers. Because she will run off every new customer. They will ever get. She is extremely rude. I went back for a full refund. And one of the other employees already had it lined up and ready to go for me. Did not ask any questions which tells me they deal with this a lot from her. do Not give Jay's daughter your money. She is not the one who has worked extremely hard over the years. To obtain what I assume is a fairly good reputation that mr. Jay has worked very hard to get She is ruining her father's reputation.

Went and got a breakfast platter with tater tots and a BLT, let's just say the food was terrible the cook was terrible and Jay is nasty. They forgot my tater tots then Jay took my order then went in the back and put his nasty dirty hands on my sandwich never ever will I eat there again.

Wow! I ordered the 2 piece dark chicken meal and I was NOT disappointed. Flavorful juicy chicken with great, fresh cut fries. The fries were so good that I didn't want to use ketchup! Also, probably the best biscuit I've ever had in any restaurant, crusty exterior with soft pillowy center. I'm so glad I tried it. I'll definitely be back.
Fantastic chicken, great hot dog and the silent best part the soft yet crispy biscuits!! Worth the trip off the highway

It's great food. Best chicken on a paper plate. Sides are like home cooking. Biscuits can't be beat anywhere. It's named 'shack' so don't expect ambience. Go for the comfort food.

Greeted once I came in. The food was hot. If you want your fries crispy tell them, they served more on the "limp" side. White meat was hot, but I think they get it up again once you order it. Biscuit was good, not too dry. Definitely would come again if they can get their sanitation score up from 92. Best thing: flavor of chicken skin. Worst thing: sanitation score.
