I only go there between 11am-3pm for the daily lunch special for $9.66 + tax (which is constantly increasing). Otherwise their a little overpriced. Large portion size and a smallish drink. The chicken is moist and delicious, but the vegetables and rice are pretty bland. The carrots and zucchini seem boiled and mushy (but good). The homemade white sauce is a MUST, but their VERY stingy with it! They only give you ONE tiny container of it and it's $1 more for each additional one?? Seems like they care more about money, then good customer service.

Food was fresh and giant portions, well presented even for a to go order. Service was lightning fast too. But, I was really disappointed in the taste- there was no real Asian flavor and seemed to be overly Americanized. There was corn in the rice and it was served with a type of candied carrots I would expect with turkey. The meat was tender and cooked well but was seasoned like something from a steakhouse. Hot, reasonably tasty dinner? Yes, but unfortunately not the flavors I was looking for.

I had been craving Tokyo Express since I haven't had it in awhile, so I stopped and picked up a to go order for my husband and I on the way back from a Dr's appointment. I got the special with only broccoli, which was Teriyaki chicken and my husband wanted spring rolls and crab rangoons. The crab rangoons were just ok, the spring rolls barely had anything in them and the Teriyaki chicken was so bad , I couldn't even eat it! Tokyo is nothing like it used to be. I see why there were only 2 customers in there now!

Restaurant is clean and updated. Service was fine. I got the Steak and Shrimp, it was fresh and had good flavor. Overall a good experience, but the prices seem really high for what you’re getting all things considered. Not a place you would want to eat at more than once a week at $24 per person.

Called in an order, told 5–10 minutes. Showed up in 10, paid (even tipped $2), then waited another 15+ minutes while others came and went. They clearly forgot my food until someone finally asked — then I watched staff get yelled at for it.
Asked for extra sauce after the delay and was told it’d be $2. Seriously?
Got home and the food was awful. Steak and chicken were tough and rubbery, rice was drowning in pepper, and without the overpriced sauce, it was not edible. Total waste.
While traveling from VA a pit stop was needed and my partner and I ended up catching the lunch special for the day. The shrimp hibachi was the special we added a single order of egg roll (2) and sushi (I can’t recall the name). EVERYTHING was delicious, the rice/vegetables and shrimp were FRESH. Oh, the YumYum sauce was on point too.
