While traveling from VA a pit stop was needed and my partner and I ended up catching the lunch special for the day. The shrimp hibachi was the special we added a single order of egg roll (2) and sushi (I can’t recall the name). EVERYTHING was delicious, the rice/vegetables and shrimp were FRESH. Oh, the YumYum sauce was on point too.

Tokyo Express has the best value lunch special in Hillsborough, hands down. For $10, you can get a huge portion of whatever the meat the special for the day is along with a generous helping of veggies and fried rice. Their sweet carrots are excellent. The veggies are very fresh tasting, and this is NOT a place that gives you two pieces of broccoli and calls it good. The Saturday lunch special is hibachi chicken and steak, and that is our favorite! Coming for dinner is the same...

If I order it correctly, the food is good. I am not a fan of the sweet carrots and mushrooms. So I have to order without. Other than that the food is really good, and cooked to order. The white sauce also has a hint of sweetness but it balances out with the vegetables and meat in what I order.
