We visited Castaways on our last night of vacation. The food was reasonably good, and the service was great. Overall, it was a decent dining experience. I might consider going back, maybe.

We had an ok experience at castaways. Our waitress was very nice and was really on top of things. But the food is the reason why I’m rating this 2 stars. It was cold and bitter. EXCEPT THE CHEESY GRITS! MY OH MY THEY WERE GOOD!

Have been to Castaways multiple times over the last 10 years. We love Castaways. We went tonight at 8:25, posted closing time was 9. As we walked through the entrance, the “waitress” that was sitting down, said, we are closed. I said, it’s says online you close at 9. She said yeah, we decided to close early. As people were seated a multiple tables eating. I worked in a restaurant through college, we never turned any customer seats until listed closing time on the door.
You missed out on easily $200 tonight plus a nice tip.
Prob won’t be back. Do better.

The nachos and shrimp burger were great. Our server was very busy but still did a good job. I would have given a 5 star review if I didn't have to interact with the female bartender wearing a pink shirt. The only thing worse than her drink making ability is her attitude. I'd replace her immediately if she was my employee.

We went for an early dinner with 6 kids and the staff was great with them. They were attentive, the food was brought out without a long wait and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Their seafood Mac n cheese is an absolute must! I would recommend going for an earlier dinner or late because we drove by around 6pm and they were packed. So if you don't want the wait go early or late.

Parking: There is a parking lot out back and an overflow but if you come when it is super busy I'm not sure how full it gets.

Kid-friendliness: Good kids meal and they have high chairs etc for your needs

Great place to meet with friends and/or family for lunch, dinner or drinks. Nice ocean breeze on a hot day and great beach atmosphere! The food was delicious and on the table in a very short amount of time.

Had the pimento cheese burger and the mahai mahai jerk sandwich. Both were tasty. Great service. The only negative was the seating space was a little tight. Overall, a good experience and we’ll be back.
