“Fantasy Isle is fabulous! I have been coming to Holden Beach for many years and always visit here for ice cream at least a couple of times during our stay. I love their ice cream and have enjoyed several rounds of putt putt golf here. I love that they are trying to encourage you to visit their neighboring business even though that business doesn't seem to have the same communal attitude. Thanks for trying to be the "bigger person" Fantasy Isle!”

Great food, cold drinks, friendly service, and a laid-back coastal vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. It’s one of our favorite spots for lunch, and the nightlife is the best!. A great place to bring friends and family when they’re in town. Definitely one of the most unique restaurants and bars near Holden Beach. Highly recommend checking out Salty Dogs if you want good food, good people, and a fun local experience.”

“Had a great meal at Mermaid’s. The firecracker shrimp and chicken gyro were both great. Food was out in 10 minutes and everyone was super friendly. Great atmosphere and music. Stop by here for lunch at the beach!”

“My wife & I ate breakfast there 5/10/24….I didn’t get the waitress’s name. Service was good. The food was delicious, my wife got blueberry French toast & I got a bacon,egg & provolone cheese croissant along with a side bowl of milk gravy both meals were delicious !! “Excellent pizza almost as good as Ct's Pepe's which is where I learned about great pizza. 2 areas of improvement needed. 1) spread sauce and toppings farther out on the crust. 2) Cook the crust longer to get it brown or more cooked instead of soft. Needs crunch.”

“Was down at Holden Beach. Found Mankins on way out over the bridge. They do have breakfast, see pic. I did not rate them a 5 because of multiple reasons. It is an inexpensive good food joint with lots to offer. That is positive. One thing is that the Air Conditioning was working it just did not feel that cool in there. The door keeps opening and closing and the kitchen puts out some heat. They could improve that. The other thing was the bathroom door was left wide open the whole entire time I was there. Maybe put a sign up that asks patrons to close the door on the way out. Atmosphere seem good, maybe put some background music in. This one guy was sitting a table next to me and he had to be three sheets to the wind. Very loud talker, keep slurring words. Hey it's happy hour someplace in the world all the time. But for 1230 pm, he was blasted. It's kind of like a less expensive version of PT Grille.”

“Small seating area with the feel of family. Staff was awesome and they really cared about making you happy. Went to another restaurant that had a 40+ minute wait and found this place. It was a hidden gem. My son saw they had birria and said ya, were going there. It was my first time having it. I got the birria burger and it was awesome. Glad we found a new place to go to.”

“Whoa. Friday - fried flounder and fresh cut french fries. Slaw. The very best fried flounder I’ve ever eaten. We vacation in Oak Island. Fridsy lunch at Sea Biscuit.”

“My parents went here on their 62nd anniversary and the folks there brought out 2 cookies with candles, a CFA cow, and sang to them. You don't get this at any other fast food chain in this country.”

“Went to The Scoop Sunday morning and ordered a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich just as I have numerous times through the years. I was told that they no longer served it on toast, so I would have to choose a bagel. I asked why I couldn't get it on toast and I was told... "They were selling to many of them on toast, and not enough on bagels, so they quit offering it on toast. That way they would have enough bread to make a kids' grilled cheese". I am still shaking my head!!”

“Katie, was great. She needs a raise! Only one working, but kept the crowded place going and was always nice and cool as a cucumber. Could have doubled your sales with one more person working the tables. You save 50 bucks on salary but lost 500 on sales at least. 😂”
