Dock House Seafood & More

Dock House has delicious food! My husband and I split the coconut shrimp as an appetizer, I had the baked sea bass, and he got the seafood pot pie. If we were just reviewing the food, it would be 5 stars!

The service however was definitely lacking. I understand that this is a casual dining atmosphere, but we ran out of beverages halfway through our meal, no one checked on us after our food arrived to see if we needed seasonings, and when we did finally get someone’s attention for a refill, they brought back a single drink for us to split.

We will likely be back, but maybe just for takeout.

Food was mediocre, to say the least. When served our food, we were given it to pass to the person who ordered it, instead of giving it directly to that person. Place was not busy and yet service was on. Because we had a party of 8, 20% gratuity was auto applied instead of standard 16 or 18%.

Excellent Food! Large Portions! Super friendly staff! Only issue - no elevator inside for handicap. Had to sit outside in the hot sun.

My shrimp was very good. Didn't care for the mini potatoes. Hush puppies were yummy. Our server Sam,was excellent.

Food is consistent and generally very very tasty. Try the seafood pit pie, quite unique and really good. My favorite, when then have it, is the Red Drum fish special - absolutely no better tasting fish out there and Dick House prepares it perfectly. Rum punch is excellent. Not terribly expensive for the quality of seafood you get. And the kids absolutely love their Calabash shrimp.

What an amazing Staff, location, atmosphere and everything in between. We all loved the food and the selection. The wait time was 100% beyond reasonable and they were extra accommodating! Since we ate outside with amazing sunset, I brought my 4-legged son & they couldn't have been kinder! We ate so fast we forgot to take most of the pictures of the best entrée's! Not necessarily a bad thing because now you'll have to go and check it out

SIMPLY AMAZING! Coming from an actual chef I can’t recommend this place enough! Food was PERFECT and the service *chefs kiss* (specifically our girl Sarah)! Come here you won’t be disappointed!

They had a bigger and better menu than last year. Our server Sarah was amazing!!!

Service was meh, food was meh-er. We got chicken and waffles (a classic, hard to go wrong) and believed that the waffles would be a pretty decent size for 18$, however it fit in the palm of my hand. They also acted as a sponge for whatever they cooked them in(possibly deep fried) and seemed very oily. The chicken was also very bland. Atmosphere wasn’t great and the chairs were very cheap.

Yummy flounder sandwich and crispy fries. A nice place to eat on the island in Holden Beach.
