Mermaids is an excellent option for fast casual on Holden Beach. Food is fresh, hot and delicious. Highly recommend for any time dining and to savor that fresh island seafood craving.
My husband and I visited on a rainy Thursday in mid-September, so peak season was over and there was no wait. We were greeted by a very cheerful and friendly server and given the run-down of how to order. We weren't super hungry so we ordered a large order of fried catch of the day and a large order of hushpuppies to split. And y'all. Those hushpuppies. We picked up a to-go order, which was ready in 15 minutes. The food was great. We had the chicken gyro, fried pickles, fish bites, hush puppies. The fried pickles were a little too fried, but the rest was 5/5 stars!!
