Sat for 35 minutes at a table and never got waited on. Nobody even acknowledged we were there, even when they walked right by us and looked right at us. I dont need to beg for service. Went to Daddy Macs!!! 5 star+ And YES we were seated by the hostess!!!!!

To the OWNER who asked how you could improve my rating. This is a start to the experience my family and I had on a Sunday afternoon at Buddy's Crab House & Oyster bar
I took my family (wife & kids) it was mid afternoon around 3 or 4pm. Every other thing we ordered, the waitress told us they were out off. The kids wanted fries which they were out of.
I ordered the grouper entree, they were out of grouper (fish). I ordered some oysters and asked for them to be lightly steamed, just enough that the shell cracks because I had to shuck them myself. They came out well done, almost burnt. I placed an order of onion rings. the waitress brought maybe 8 pieces of what looked like the burnt broken off pieces of the onion rings that were left in the bottom of the fryer from the batch they made before. There was not one complete ring on the plate, plus the onion rings were a dark, dark brown, not golden brown. It's understandable that the waitress is not the cook but she could have looked at the plate before she delivered it to our table.
My wife ordered a salad. The hard bottom part of the lettuce head was in the salad.
We ordered a rootbeer to drink, and we were told you had run out of that as well.

Hope was my bartender and she was AMAZING! So funny, so nice, great drinks, great service! Will definitely go back whenever she’s working!

Tried to give this place a shot, despite the reviews on here. What a mistake. Slow service, food was awful, and were out of so many things like the crab dip, French fries, draft beer, etc.

This was our first and last time dining here. From the start it took forever to get our drinks, when they did come out beers were warm. Appetizers and food also took forever. My son’s crab legs and my grouper came out cold. The crab legs felt like they came out of the refrigerator. After I spoke to the manager who was apologetic about it, my son then found a hair in his slaw. We all at that point were just disgusted and lost any appetite we had left. It was just an overall disappointment and we won’t be back.

The seafood steamers were disappointing. The oysters were huge, until you cracked them open. Almost nothing inside. The crab legs were okay-ish. Not impressed for the price. And not a lot for kids to choose from if they don't like seafood. Atmosphere was cool though!

We have tried it twice now. Both times treated poorly. The staff is rude, not the slightest bit interested in treating guests well. Actually seem like an inconvenience. Very sketchy.

If you go, don't go for the food. But drinks are good and view is amazing! Maggie is great and true to her word! I gave her my card to open tab but wanted to pay with cash, well I paid cash but my card was also ran. I called that night and she voided the payment on my card. I had to take her word bc we were almost 2hrs away by then and I didnt have a receipt. But she was honest! Which imo totally makes up for the cook not knowing how to cook shellfish without turning it into rubber. Only other thing, don't take kids, even though it's "family friendly " idk how many times I heard an f bomb being dropped among other inappropriate talk and behavior by the employees as we sat there. Was a complete turn off

I wish I could give zero stars. From the moment we walked in, the staff at Buddy's was incredibly rude. They accused my sister-in-law of using a fake ID, even though she’s 33 years old and was just visiting from out of town. Without any attempt to handle the situation professionally, they called the police, who verified that the ID was real and returned it to her.

Instead of apologizing for the mistake, the staff refused to serve us and asked us to leave. We did nothing wrong and were treated poorly for their own error. If you’re looking for a fun, welcoming night out, I strongly advise avoiding Buddy's—especially if you're from out of town. Their staff clearly doesn’t know how to check IDs properly and seems unwilling to admit their mistakes.

Steamer Basket - shrimp, clams very small and potato still hard, so for the price extremely dissatisfied. The breading on fish in Grouper basket came completely off. The view from deck is beautiful.
