Not great.. The bbq and brisket were good. The sides were gross. The beans have a flowery taste and the hush puppies were gritty, almost like hard corn bread (I dunno!) Everything is a la cart. I spent over $40 for 1/4 lb of bbq, 1/4 lb of brisket, each side was $4 plus…side salad, hush puppies, beans. I asked if it was going to be a 10 min or so wait and she said I was the only to order so shouldn’t take that long. It was 45 mins!! They could have at least offered me a sweet...
Just wanted to share about an amazing experience we had at Smoky Tony's BBQ today. The food and service really deserve to be noticed here in the Surf Cirty / Holly Ridge area! Truly great, fresh - home cooked food and the desserts are ahhhmazing!! (Tony’s wife bakes the dessserts while Tony handles the rest!) My family and I came in for dinner tonight, and we were greeted with so much kindness like we were family! They went out of their way to keep our small kids occupied so my husband and I could enjoy our meal. The waitress made us feel so welcome and the food was DELICIOUS!! I could not recommend this place more! Definitely will be back!! It’s hard to find a place that seems welcoming to families especially ones with small kids, so I am thankful we gave it a try.
