Here it is more present day 11/9/2024. Where I was extremely pleased 5 years ago, the quality and portion of food was completely different. I ordered the clam basket. They were way over cooked. So dry and crispy that you couldn’t even taste the clams. The young girl at the counter completely screwed up the order for my party of 4. None of us enjoyed our meal but we decided not to complain; however Skrimp Shack has lost us as customers .

So disappointed, arrived at 11:05 was told food would take at least a 30 minute + fryers just got turned on, first of all if you open at 11 shouldn't your fryers be on at least 30 minutes before? My friend and myself ordered grilled fish sandwich her whiting & myself haddock I was told when Haddock is grilled it usually falls apart some I said that was ok. However when the fish came it was crumbled like someone chopped it up and was cold, the girl came back with sauces ani told her my fish was cold and looked like scrambled eggs, she in turn told me that she told me it would fall apart I said I understand that but this was ridiculous, and I didn't want it, she took it back to kitchen and came back and said all we can do is put it back on the grill to heat it up, I said just make a fried fish sandwich and was told can't do that because I told you it would fall apart! I asked to speak to the manager and waited another 15 minutes she wouldn't come out, I went back to the register and asked what is going on and the girl said do you want your money back I said yes or at least a sandwich, after another 10 minutes I went back and asked what is happening? Girl said you have to wait for manger to refund your money I replied well it's only been one hour and 15 minutes so far, so unprofessional!!! And I hate to add as I looked around the front rugs were filthy the counter was full of dust and it wasn't the place I loved before!!!

Came here for the first time Saturday to grab some dinner to go. Soon as I walked in it was so awfully hot. The lady at the register had TWO fans on her. The these people working were very nice and seems attentive. We ordered and were handed our drink cups to go fill up. The drink cups are a bit small for having to pay $4 extra for a side and a drink when the prices are already pretty high. I got the buffalo shrimp tacos. They were not even spicy BUT they were good. The floor was sticky just passed the order counter and as we went back further, none of the tables were wiped down and everything was sticky. There was a young boy that worked there and he was just sitting at the table on his phone and the lady at the register was just standing in front of the fans on her phone. As I sat at the benches up front I noticed the SafeServ rating of a 94 and that made me a bit nervous but with the lack of cleanliness in the customer area, I could only imagine what the back looked like. I did notice a filth black duster just hanging over top between the kitchen and the register which are very close in proximity and should not be hanging above where food is made. I likely will not be back, but on the plus side nobody got sick. They really should fix the air and spend more time wiping up and less time on their phones.

Fish and shrimp and other seafood is delicious. But that’s it. All other sides are disgusting. Worst collard greens I’ve ever had. Taste like canned spinach. Mac n cheese is soupy. Coleslaw is dry. It’s like they put all their energy in the seafood and not the sides.

I was disappointed in the Shrimp Shack. I asked them to grill the scallops. They were rubbery, with no seasoning-awful. Ordered strawberry shortcake. It was tasteless.
