We stopped here on Labor Day 2024 at 1:18pm and they closed at 2pm. They welcomed us with open arms. I'm telling you..I'm gonna be dreaming of the food. Everything looked amazing..but the sides are what intrigued me most. I got the veggie plate. Cucumber salad, pintos, corn fritters and the sweet potato casserole. I was immediately taken back to my childhood. If I could have that cucumber salad every day I would. It was like having a family meal straight out of my childhood like my grandma and mama made. Sadly, this place is 2 hours and 45 minutes away from my hometown. But you can bet your sweet corn fritters I'll be back before the year ends. Yall blew me away. Thank you for helping me reminisce my childhood. I just can't express it enough. The waitresses were amazing and I appreciate yall for taking great care of us.
2nd time we have visited Hot Springs and 2nd time eating at SM Diner ...food is amazing, staff was friendly! I had the burger and bf had the Hamburger Steak that he bragged on! They are closed on Sunday, but we stayed an extra day and ate there Monday...you won't be disappointed for sure!

The food was great. Carolina burger had right proportion of everything. Meatloaf sandwich was tender and flavorful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food came out very quick. Love this place.

The food was good and was a great way to start the day. Our waitress actually asked us if we wanted to put our name in to reserve a cinnamon roll for the next day because they are that good (they are). They say the omelets are 2 egg, looks closer to 4. Great food, great service, you will not leave hungry.

Even though it's one of the only restaurants in town it is so delicious! You've got to go on Saturday for the cinnamon roll.
It is simple, Southern food done well. I had the Fried Green Tomato and Pimento Cheese Grit bowl and it was so good - not overly greasy and well cooked.
