With a menu that pricey, everything needs to be near perfect. This could have been a great place. Drove 35 minutes specifically for this place.
Appetizer: prawns, excellent!
Entree: ordered a ribeye- medium. I got a ribeye between rare and medium rare. I know fancy chefs think common folks don’t know the difference but red/purple is not medium. Medium is hot pink center. I’m too nice to complain. I ate it all but the middle. Shame I had to waste meat at their price point.
Atmosphere was snobby: granted, they had a large Christmas party that night BUT they stuck me and my wife right in the midst of loud obnoxious guests. They could have found a more quiet, secluded corner. But instead, they put us a at table that could seat 6….. made no sense. Couples don’t go out to fancy places to sit a mile away from their date. Was originally planning to get dessert but between the crowd, owners showing off their new baby and two nosey women beside our table talking over our table to the staff in the back, we were just ready to leave.
The flavors had serious potential. Someone knows what they’re doing for sure. But that night was a bust, we felt in the way of more important guests, and attention to detail (specifically the $50 steak) was lacking.

My husband and I went here for lunch. They were out of salmon and burgers, so I got steak frites and my husband got the steak sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals. I, also, got a grilled cheese to go, after it being highly recommended to me, and it was good too. Our waiter, Samuel, was great.

Had such an amazing experience here, from the atmosphere, the service, and of course...the food! We were recommended this place by our hosts at our Airbnb, and it didn't disappoint! Everything here is amazing. I wish I lived here to try the entire menu! Our food was perfectly seasoned...no salt or pepper required...and I didn't even use the ketchup provided. It was just fantastic. Did I mention that!?!

Wonderful ladies night out. We have 4 people and they were very accommodating and friendly.
I had the beet salad and it was so yummy. A great dressing as well! The shrimp/prawns were a bit cold but still pretty tasty. Au graten potatoes were very cheesy, Creme Brule was perfect. Truffle fries were yummy. Salmon was also nicely good and good sauce.
Would eat here again.
It is a fancy date night out place. So don't expect a $20 meal. But the portions were pretty large.

We had a wonderful date night thanks to the amazing staff at The Allard. Our server, Sean, was a cut above the rest and took his time to explain the menu in full detail, making sure we both got a taste of what we wanted!
The menu, yes, may seem pricey but the quality of the food and the ambience made the evening one to remember.
I have a good feeling about this new gem added to our area. It is by far, the most luxurious dining experience available in the area. (I would wager it can compete with other fine dining in Charlotte.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: You may want to book ahead online or by calling, as some days they are reservation only. Doing either is easy to do.
Owner Note: I do wonder if there was some way to dim the lights; maybe for special occasions like Valentines to add to the ambience? ❤️ You have the lovely little candles on the tables… what if you got more battery ones and lit the entire place up like that on special nights and sold ‘tickets’ more or less?

This is our second visit to this little piece of heaven named The Allard, and it has been exceptional! The food was prepared perfectly and it was DELICIOUS! The service was prompt, friendly and over the top.
A fine dining experience with a French understated flair at its best. We cannot wait to return for dinner!

What a wonderful addition to Hudson. Classic French dishes along with American fare. Well worth a visit for anyone that may or may not know French cuisine.
The food is always prepared fresh. The dessert is also delicious.

The ambience when you first walk in is amazing and the beautiful background music just melts away any anxiety. The food is superb and the desserts made you not want to leave. This is probably the best restaurant in western North Carolina. This place is "simply irresistible".
