Hawthorne's New York Pizza and Bar Huntersville

Mooresville Location… We love the pizza, but our order is wrong half the time. When placing an online order, the employees have to hand key the order into their system. More times than not, the order is keyed wrong. I’m tired of having to wait extra time because of the carelessness.

Just ordered pizza for the first time from Hawthornes. I’m from NY and haven’t been able to find good pizza around here. This pizza was absolutely delicious! I’m so happy I found this place!

My family has ordered here for years and NEVER have I had such a TERRIBLE experience as I did tonight!!! I ordered online and was told the wait for my order was 40 minutes, so I arrived at the restaurant to pick up the order 45-50 minutes later to give them plenty of time to prepare it. I was told my order was almost done being prepared and they were waiting on one small 9in' pizza, so I stood to the side to wait. I then proceeded to wait for 20 MINUTES FOR ONE SMALL PIZZA! In that time I witnessed eight other customers come in for their orders, most of which being forced to wait due to orders not being complete. It got to the point where the two guys handling the orders started to look at each other and say numerous times "bro, this is so bad" while laughing because there were so many people waiting. There was nothing funny about the situation. Also, some of the people who asked about their order were told they would check on it and then they never came back to tell them anything about the progress of their orders. Then, one lady was given the wrong size pizza, a small instead of a large, which they said they were happy to fix. However, the kitchen was not and proceeded to complain about remaking the order, demanding to see the original ticket and tried to place blame saying that the order had been changed by someone because they had made it "according to the ticket". The people in the kitchen need to understand that not only can we SEE them, we can also HEAR them talking, and while most of the kitchen staff spoke Spanish, I speak Spanish somewhat fluently and could understand what they were saying. By this time the rest of my order had been sitting on their silver racks for 20+ minutes growing cold and soggy while they were making the one small pizza. Finally, after 20+ minutes of waiting, the 9in' pizza was brought out and my entire order was given to me without so much of an apology or explanation for the ridiculously long wait or the fact that almost my entire order was now cold and soggy. This is one of the worst experiences I've had with take-out at any restaurant in a long time!!!

Ordered a take out pizza $46.00.
We added sausage and mushrooms to the ranch chicken pizza. All the sausage and mushrooms were on 1/2 the pizza. Very little ranch sauce, very dry pizza and to make it worse more than 1/2 the pizza bottom was burned black. Could not eat it.
Will never get a pizza from Hawwthornes again. Too expensive and very poor quality.

I have been to several Hawthornes over the years, but this was my favorite experience! I live by the one in Huntersville and gave this one a shot, it was amazing! We sat at the bar Hannah was our bartender, she was friendly and attentive. The food was meh but the atmosphere was great we sat and had drinks and talked with the service staff and the GM! They suggested cocktails and entertained us the whole day! I’m from New York and the pizza reminds me of home, but the other items not so much! But my friends and I will definitely be coming back for the atmosphere and staff! Great staff really fun place to hang out and have some drinks!

My husband and I live in Huntersville and this is our go-to pizza night spot. The pizza is delicious, and the staff is so so nice! Every time I go in the staff is attentive and helpful. Highly recommend Hawthornes if you are looking for pizza in Huntersville!

We love going to Hawthorne's at least once a week with our 4yo... Great service, great food and we always love it when Grace is there! She's always upbeat no matter what! I highly recommend this place!

Hawthorne's is a pretty pricy pizza shop for an okay pizza! I enjoyed the pizza and it was a nice crispy crust but the toppings were okay and pretty greasy. The location is in a stripmall and the parking lot was packed but no one was eating here at lunch time. There were maybe 2-3 other tables but it's not the spot for the area.

hard to find good NY pizza thank you Hawthornes i just found the slice that reminds me of home.

I have visited the restaurant few times before and food had been good, recently things changed, and seem to go in decline very fast. Garlic Knots are now dried and little to no garlic, chicken wings were tough and like chewing rubber?? Salad with Chicken portion of a 2 year old and saggy veggies.
For the prices they charge I don't think is worth visiting anymore, maybe Pizza is good, but if you're going for dishes or salads I think you should try another place. Very disappointed honestly as I have brought some friends with me and I looked so bad as everyone expressed their dislike to me. Hey my bad I said, I remembered they used to be good. Oh well. Hopefully they improve some day.
