I’ve always loved this place, but the recent price increase is hard to justify. My usual order—chicken and a small appetizer—used to be around $18, but now it’s nearly $30. Unfortunately, that puts it out of my regular budget for myself. I hope they reconsider their pricing in the future.
Edit: Love the food, the people and the service. The food is just beyond overpriced, much cheaper options around

I would never recommend anyone to go to this restaurant. The food was good service was good but the way the counter lady treats the people is the worst. She has the worst attitude. If she has personal problems she needs to stay at home rather than to be at a service industry. Had the worst experice here. Never going back again.

Ordered online. Total should have been $33 - was $41 at pickup. Would not honor online pricing.
Ordered online and when we went to pick up order they charged $2.00 more than what the total was. Other orders were charged more as we were a lunch group ordering. They claim prices online are incorrect. They need to update or give the patrons what the order total was online not tell them at pick up.
Great food great service. Kimberly is fast and kind. Honestly no waiting when we dined in.

Changing my original review. This place has changed for the worst in the last few months. Check your bank statements!! They charged me twice one week apart, very shady stuff.

We came for my mom’s birthday and we absolutely loved it. We had hot tea to start and ended up getting a couple of dishes so that we can eat family style.
We ordered mixed vegetables, Chinese eggplant, moo shu chicken and chicken chow fun. Everything was delicious.
The mixed vegetable were fresh and crunchy/crispy. You can tell these veggies were cooked in a wok because they were not soggy even though they were tossed in a delicious brown sauce. This was the highlight of our meal and it came with white rice which we enjoyed. The Chinese eggplant was delicious as well and was really great with the chili oil that they provided.
We will certainly be back again as the food was absolutely delicious and NOT oily/greasy like most Chinese restaraunts are.

I always try to order from House of Taipei when I am nearby, because they give an excellent amount of delicious food with a very reasonable price. I like them more than PF Chang's, which is good but very overrated.
Something to note about this place is that they are very quick to serve, which also means they will be very quick to get you out the door. I personally like how quick they are, but I know people who like to sit down and feel rushed by this. Even so, I would recommend you try at least as a takeout option.
My go to choice is the sesame tofu, but about a week ago I went with my girlfriend and we both had a crab rangoon appetizer and she ordered the Peking Duck while I had their "four happiness. Rice comes on the side.
The crab rangoons were fresh, crispy, and delicious.
The duck was perfectly cooked with the right amount of crispy fat, and it came with a kind of thin green scallions, dark oyster sauce I think, and the thin chinese pancakes that you wrap it up into to eat like a burrito.
The Four Happiness was a meat combination plate that included beef, chicken, shrimp, and a fourth meat that I assume is lobster- I hadn't really thought to ask and I don't eat it enough to know, but I'm not picky so it was a good experience with a full plate. They use large shrimps and I believe they have fair portions of all the meats, so accurately named is the four happiness.
Any remaining leftovers can be taken in microwave safe airtight plastic containers, not Styrofoam so that earns a lot of respect.

The Pad Thai they used to serve was the BEST and now whatever they changed is so disappointing I’ll never be back. No spices all ORANGE and Pad Thai is not ORANGE. Tastes like ketchup. 🤮
New management,
Unfortunately we tried to give new management a chance. They were rude and unnecessarily aggressive when we were ordering. They were very adamant in letting us know management has changed when we asked why rice was no longer included.
If the new management was nicer we would’ve simply tried the food and gave it a chance but it appears customer service was just out the window with the second lady who attended us. The first hispanic lady was very nice and gave us a good first impression. The second asian looking lady was not very nice. Felt like she was yelling at us while ordering and in a rush.
