My college roommate and I enjoyed a Tea event here. It was lovely and the perfect atmosphere. Loved the variety of teas we tried and the sandwiches were some of the best. Perfect ending with a handwritten card from our waitress!

This place is so cute! I have been here for dinner and drinks a few times. The menu is a little more high end, so it is somewhere to go for a special occasion rather than just a random dinner out. They have parking on the side of the building and then an overflow lot in the back. In the summer you can sit on the porch. It’s a large house, I guess the 1st in Huntersville, but check Google for the history. 😊 the drinks are fun and they have a full bar. The bar tenders will make you anything traditional or help you find something that you like. The only thing that I would put as something to work on is the hours. I would love to see this location open more often. I think they are only open for dinner a few nights and not very late. I recommend a reservation for dinner, but if you are just stopping in for a drink you can sit at the bar.

Visited the Hunter House last night for the first time with friends, and it exceeded expectations. I feel so fortunate to have discovered a true gem in the community and I am already planning my next visit. The home is stunning and pure essence, in every sense. The staff, food and drinks were top notch. For the holidays, they have a Pop Up bar that we thoroughly enjoyed as well. If you are looking for a one of a kind experience, this place is it.

This was our second time coming to the Christmas Tea! We arrived 15 minutes early which I knew was early and when we opened door to enter the staff. I believe Sharon told us we could not But she would come and get us at 12 if we would please wait outside which was fine. Not 5 minute’s later others started entering for a party I believe. After about 14 others entered I finally got up at 12 and those that were ahead of us were already seated and starting their tea. I asked the lady I believe was Sharon I told her that we had been waiting for her to come get us.line she said She didn’t apologize she said what is your name and she seated us. I thought that was quite rude because we were there waiting for her to come, and she had forgotten about us and made it like no big deal that everybody else could enter, but we couldn’t. I was really put out about that to even start the Tea actually it was quite rude. I even emailed and told her my concern and she said well I’m glad you enjoyed the tea. The other people were there for a party, but not all of them were because some of them were seated already at their Tables and had already had their tea ordered and although the food was good and our person that waited on us was very nice Sharon, I felt like should’ve apologized about having us wait out there and telling us to wait. She actually closed the door on us when we arrived and I understand that we were early but it really ruined the whole beginning of our fun birthday experience of being there

I’m sure the food is great and the atmosphere is very nice, but we showed up for a reservation at 8:15 on a saturday. They only had 2 items left on the menu and both of them were seafood and grits. Waitress was extremely old. just an overall embarrassment of an establishment on a saturday night. If you are going to charge what you charge, be better

I held a celebration of life dinner for my dad at Hunter House and it was the most perfect setting for people to gather following the service. The grounds are beautiful, prettier than the photos can do justice. Sitting on the outside deck was such a gorgeous atmosphere for dining and the bar/cocktails were well made along with an esthetic presentation. It was a perfect place for hosting an event when you don't want to fund the entire experience as they allow for a ticketing system for guests to pre-pay their own meal ticket and do separate checks for drinks. That was nearly an impossible find elsewhere, so a huge advantage if hosting an event but don't intent to fund the entire bill. Service was warm and welcoming, the whole planning experience was seamless.

Had our wedding here and there are literally no words to describe how absolutely floored we were by the venue, staff, service, food and hospitality! Everything was top notch, to the food and cocktails to the staff and the venue grounds and accommodating a 50 person wedding guest list! We were so happy, thankful, grateful and blessed to have chosen this beautiful, stunning venue for our wedding! We were blown away by how everything came together and were impressed at everything done to make sure that things went smoothly without a hitch. This venue does have dinners here/has a restaurant and we had dinner here originally and fell in love- head over heels over everything! We knew this was the place we wanted to say our I Do's!! And an extra shout out to Sharon- the venue's event coordinator! She was absolutely fabulous, always attentive and detailed-oriented and made sure we were well taken care of on the day of! Many thanks Sharon!! We are so grateful!!!

We chose the Hunters House for our event to celebrate an adult graduation party and they absolutely did NOT disappoint. Email was the prime event coordination as attempting to get in touch by phone was not available as the hours and days they are open and restricted. However, communication via email was smooth, we scheduled a phone call outside of original business hours that made everything make sense. Sharon answered all of my questions and everything was transparent. She was quick to respond. From beginning to end, the whole experience for the surprise party was top notch. The staff were excellent and on point. Food was incredible as well as the presentation. Would absolutely recommend and would absolutely consider them for an event in the future!

Honestly a 4.5.
Cocktails were great, especially the "We'll always have Paris".
Most of the food was excellent. We had the lamb and the filet for entrees and those were delicious. The Smoked Duck app was good, but the duck was a little overcooked.
The service was very good, but was slow as times, especially with drinks - there wasn't an event and the restaurant was maybe half full on a Friday, so would have appreciated a little more promptness.
The venue is beautiful and will return.

Love the atmosphere of this historic house. I have been twice recently and both times our service was excellent! Very attentive servers and super knowledgeable bartender. The duck breast was very good with a unique mix of flavors. The baked brie to start with excellent.

Our Family had a wonderful experience celebrating my In-Laws 50th Wedding anniversary at Hunter House and Gardens. The location was perfect with a beautiful ambiance with period elements down to the vintage plates. Sharon helped plan and organize the event which allowed a seamless meal for our group of 11. We had a private room that allowed for an intimate event focused on the celebratory couple. The service was excellent with our server devoted to explaining the elements of the farm to table that made our food divine. Thank you for making this a memorable meal for such a memorable couple.

Lovely dinner on the patio with great service and delightful food. The attentiveness and courtesy of the staff is perfectly paired with well timed service. Everything came out when it should and as it should. The flavors in every dish have lots of depth to them.We don’t come here often but maybe we should change that! Consistency and service excellence are spot on at hunter house.
