I’ve been coming here for over 6 years since I moved to the area. It used to be great, now every time I order from Mama’s Pizza, there is always something disappointing about the food and/or experience.

Today, I paid $5.25 (+tax) for a slice of Rainbow Cake in addition to our to-go pizza.

I was shocked when I opened the bag to see the slice was about the size of the palm of my hand.
It was also barely an inch thick. Not much cake there. It’s false advertising to call it a “slice”, and should be labeled as a “sliver” on the menu.
(By the way- the picture was before anything was eaten, even the presentation is bad)

The pricing for this portion is ABSURD.
It used to be 3 TIMES the size of what I was sold tonight.

In the last year alone, their quality has been less than desirable and their portion sizes continue to decrease. Yet the price stays the same or increases.

Not to mention, the pizza was burnt and charred underneath. The cheese was overcooked and you don’t get that delicious and satisfying “cheese pull” anymore like you used to get here.

I will not be coming back anymore, we will find a new pizza place to frequent.

It’s just a shame because Mama’s used to be great! But now the portions are a ripoff, and the quality of food has gone down.

Pizza is probably good but they took so long I didn’t even want it ordered pizza and waited over a hour and 30 mins for a 10 in pie

90% of the $5.40 fries were undercooked. 0% had any color on them. The insult to the $14 meatball sub. I usually LOVE this place and have been going for over a decade so I will go back but this wasn't the best experience.

We order Mama’s in Statesville at least once a week. Everytime the food amazing. Best pizza in town by far. Everything from cold sandwiches to pasta dishes are delicious. Best cold sandwiches in town for sure. Called last minute for some pizzas for some hungry firefighters, no questions asked except, “what do you want?” Missing out if you have not tried it.

GREAT food! Service was good (thought did take the food a little while to come out) and restaurant was nice. The garlic knots are fantastic 😋!

Awesome place! Staff is very hardworking and friendly, great guys with great food. I come here every weekend during my lunch break and I’m never disappointed. Highly recommend their pizzas!

I know they’re famous for pizza, so would like to go back and try that. I ordered ravioli and 3 garlic knots tonight. The pasta was like $10 and garlic knots $3. I thought the food was great, especially for the price. Is it the best pasta in charlotte? No, but it’s also much more affordable than what you’d pay at a higher end place. Also want to try their lasagna. Looking forward to going back!

Food was excellent! They don't offer tap water and use plastic ware which makes it difficult to cut and type of crust.
