The Neighborhood Cafe

I had one of the worst and most shocking dining experiences of my life at this café. I ordered the Greek Frittata, expecting a nice meal. The first bite seemed fine, but on the second bite I was absolutely horrified — I found a cockroach in my food! It was not only disgusting, it was beyond unacceptable.

The place clearly lacks the most basic standards of hygiene and cleanliness. If they allow cockroaches to end up in a customer’s meal, I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. This was not just unpleasant — it was revolting and dangerous for health.

I strongly warn anyone considering this café: do not waste your time, your money, or risk your health by eating here. There are many other places that respect their customers and maintain proper hygiene. This café is NOT one of them.😖🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Bad service

Honestly, this was one of the worst café experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was incredibly rude from the moment I walked in—no greeting, just annoyed looks like I was bothering them. When I asked a simple question about the menu, the cashier rolled her eyes and gave me a sarcastic answer.

The service was painfully slow even though the place wasn’t busy, and when I finally got my order, it was wrong. When I politely pointed it out, the barista acted like it was my fault. No apology, no effort to fix it quickly, just attitude.

The atmosphere wasn’t welcoming at all. Tables were dirty, nobody seemed to care about cleaning up, and the staff spent more time chatting with each other than helping customers.

I usually try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but the combination of rude service, poor attitude, and sloppy management makes me never want to come back.

We went for the first time last Sunday and Ian made it an awesome experience. It was fortunately one of the few days it'd stopped raining and the weather was perfect. The coffee bread was so tasty and the eggs benedict was incredibly fresh. My husband scarfed down his burrito breakfast bowl and the mimosa paired perfectly. We will definitely be back!

This is a great local gem! The service is always great, food comes out fast and the outdoor area is a great spot.

We stumbled upon this place one day and have been back several times since. I would highly recommend.

the food is so good and the staff is so nice. we got the grill entree that had a pancake, choice of meat, choice of side, and two eggs and it was amazing. we got the eggs scrambled soft and they were the best eggs i’ve ever had in my life. they were so soft, creamy, and light. the homefries were perfectly seasoned and the bacon was extra crispy. the pancake was so good too. super soft and flavorful. would definitely be back! some of the best breakfast food i’ve ever had 🩷

WOW. This was the best breakfast I have had in Charlotte metro. Best eggs and pancakes I may have ever had in my life!! Will definitely be back very soon! Super nice staff and great outdoor spot.

OUTSTANDING! The service by the owner was over the top! The food was delicious and scrumptious❣️ We ate outdoors and the atmosphere was so quaint and intimate. Highly recommend and when in Huntersville again, it is a must stop❣️
