Abruzzo's Pizza @ Carolina Forest

I really astonished at the ratings. Had pizza twice in this store and is no way near the quality of the other Abruzzo’s. The pizza sauce was sparse and even more was the cheese. It’s not near the caliber of a NY pizza where the cheese is dropping off and plenty of sauce. This pizza is a big disappointment. The other one on piney green is better….

Canned mushrooms, really?! I can't believe this place got a 4.7 out of 5. It's maybe an upgrade from Dominoes if that's what you are looking for. I have traveled a lot in my life and have had pizza in New York, Chicago, Italy so I know my pizza! I would never go back!

Nice quiet pizza shop to grab lunch or dinner. Their crust on pizza at this location is a little thicker than I prefer for New York style pizza, but it's still pretty good. Their pasta dishes are usually loaded down and fill you up. My basic standard for NY style pizza in the area is Tony's at the mall, but these guys here come in at a very close second.

Ordered an abruzzos pepperoni pizza over the phone- Waited 30 minutes for a pizza that was done when we got there. The guy up front took my money while he was on the phone with his friends, when the pizza came out we thought it was ours but then he cut it and put it back on top of the stove. After waiting a while longer he asked what order we had so I told him, just for him to turn around and grab the same pizza that he took out when we got there. Suggestion: maybe instead of playing on the phone with your friends about switch , do your job and pay attention. You didn’t wait thirty minutes for me to pay, I shouldn’t have to wait thirty minutes for a pizza that’s already done.

Best pizza & calzones ever! The steak and cheese sub is delicious. The customer service was outstanding & loved the ambiance. We will definitely come back. The chicken Florentine calzone had lots of chicken, spinach, onions ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese & herbs. Their marinara sauce is the best I've ever had. You can taste the freshness of the tomatoes & herbs. I feel this restaurant goes above & beyond for their food & customer service.

Heard from other Google reviewers about this pizza and felt we had to stop on our road trip from NY to try it. Our first mistake was we ordered what we thought were personal size pizzas (ie dinner plate size) and since the price range was about what we pay in NY, we didn’t think about it. Turns out size matters ? since we were delivered two very large margarita pies! They were delicious topped with cheese, ricotta, fresh tomatoes, and tons of basil. If you are shopping in the area, this is the place to go. Shout out to Sam who ran after us in the parking lot who offered to comp us for the second pie. I declined but felt bad we ended up not eating the extra pie we had stupidly ordered. Great job guys!

Killer pizza. Since we moved to Raleigh area from Ohio, our experience with NC pizza has been mediocre at best.

This place was really good - gave me some hope for finding other excellent pizza made in NC. We had the pep and a supreme. Done perfect - chewy but not too thin crust, plenty of toppings, cooked perfect.

Wings were overcooked and too crispy but that’s like 100% of pizza places it seems.
