Delicious food, slightly spicy. We tried the oxtail, curry chicken, and jerk chicken along with various sides. The potato salad was delicious, and I don't even like potato salad. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Had the chicken curry and the delicious oxtail which was great with the rice and decent lemonade. Only thing I didn’t like was waiting over 35 + min as we were the only ones there.
This place was a hole in the wall you cannot miss. The food was delicious, the service was so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is very cozy. Feels like you’re about to have thanksgiving dinner with family. I’d recommend this place time and time again. Very patient, kind, and accommodating to my angry one year old as well. You’d be doing yourself a disservice by never eating here!

This place is a hidden gem. I’m always in search of a good Roti. While searching Google on the way from Wilmington to Virginia I found Elsa’s. I pulled in the back parking lot and the place looked closed and kinda dark. Thank goodness I got out the car and went in. Miss Elsa is a really nice person. She got jokes too. The Chicken Roti was flavorful and had just enough pepper sauce to make the chicken taste just right. The Dhalpuri in the roti skin was all over the place just like I like it. My wife ate mines so i had to go back and get another one. Sorry for no pics but we tore that food up . While I was waiting for my second Roti, everyone waiting for orders convinced me to get the Oxtails. I’m glad I listened to them. For $14.99(forgive me if I’m wrong) for a small. I got more oxtails than a $20 something plate from somewhere else. The oxtails were tender and melts in your mouth. I’m sorry I was just passing through and I wish I had somewhere like this where I live. Thank you Miss Elsa for Blessing my stomach and making feel at home like I’m in Trinidad.

Delicious food! Miss Elsa has been there for about 18 years and this is a family run business. Everything is very flavorful here and it’s a must try! They have seating inside and many people order take out here. The collards are some of the best I’ve had and the Oxtail is very tender and good! I can’t wait to try more things here.

Always good, especially the oxtail. Everything I have ate there is good , portions are big. Staff is great. I have ate there for years and it has always been great. Oxtail and goat is usually only served on Fridays and Saturdays and it's served till its gone. If you get there too late for that, they still have plenty on the menu that's great too.
The jerk chicken is the best. Highly recommend to everyone. My family and I ❤️ love it

They are so friendly and the food was great! The price was fair and the amount of food you get is amazing. I ordered the jerk chicken and my husband ordered jerk burger. My jerk chicken was a little salty but I like how flavorful the jerk chicken is and how much of a spicy kick it has to it. I've ordered jerk chicken in other places before but they never provided this much heat to their jerk chicken. Whenever I see an establishment have collard greens available, I always order it and my goodness their collard greens are FANTASTIC. I will 100% be ordering their collard greens again. I took a bite out of my husband's jerk burger and the meat was very soft, packed full with spices but too salty. We both tried the mac and cheese but it was kind of bland. I read a lot of great reviews about their amazing mac and cheese so I was surprised to find it so lacking. There doesn't seem to be any a/c and it can get pretty hot in the place so I recommend always ordering and bringing the food home. Overall I still would recommend this place and plan on visiting it again. I can't wait to try out other foods at Elsa's Place in the future! And of course with collard greens, lol.
