Love the atmosphere! waiter was very nice. Drinks were good, some of our food was good.(wings, chicken n waffles)etc The fried chicken came out a little burnt which we were smelling it at our table, hoping it wasn’t for us. Mac and cheese was really good. We will definitely be back.

The ambiance was good. But out of 3 of the plates we ordered, only 1 of them was available.
The drinks took about 25 minutes to be ready. Personality I don’t recommend this place.

My husband and I waited a hour before receiving our food. We had the fried deviled eggs as an appetizer. They were okay it tasted like it was fried in fish grease. My husband ordered a shrimp omelet which he said it lacked flavor. I ordered the catfish and grit which they brought out shrimp in grits instead. So after waiting a hour I had to watch my husband eat. My catfish and grits was delicious when I finally received it. Our waitress was nice however service was slow. Everything was slow. I probably won’t try again

The food was fine but honestly after waiting an hour and half for chicken and waffles, anything would have tasted good. The kids food was weirdly sparse (decent amount of eggs, a tiny pancake, and a piece of sausage that had already been cut in half…. Guess someone else got the other half of my kids turkey sausage during that hour and half it took to make it). Plus they got a deposit ahead of time to take a reservation for 10 people, then showed through the terrible wait time how incapable they were of feeding 10 people, but they got that deposit though so good for them. I’ll never be back.

Went for dinner. Food was fantastic, as was the service.

Then there's the music. The choice of music was fine. It's the volume. The room is not very large. You had to yell at the person sitting next to you in order to hold a conversation. He could have reduced the volume to 1/4 of what it was and it would still be loud. Multiple people came in and left, presumably because of the noise level. This is probably why less than 1/2 the tables had patrons. Staff acted like they have no control over it even though they also expressed disdain for the volume level. Strip clubs aren't this loud.

You also get a surprise 18% gratuity added to the bill that is not mentioned anywhere before you get the cheque. I guess I should have read the cheque before adding $25 to the $74 bill, but I haven't needed to do that ever.

We won't be back.

A honest review: We planned for weeks a class reunion at Flavor Hills. I called several times to get everything in order and every time I called I got different information, some of which came from a manager. Each time I called back I was told that the information was not correct. If my class had not voted on this place I would have left it alone. Once we finally figured out the deposit part since we had a group of 25, I was told that we had to get the deposit back on our bills, equally and that was the only way to do it. When we arrived they were out of most drinks, and quite a few food options. Our reservation was at 6 by 8 p.m when people starting asking for checks, the big confusion began. No one knew how to refund the deposit. After I confirmed several times that there would be no issues. They tried several times to give us bills that did not the credits. After waiting for literally 2 hours a classmate paid the whole bill, and I do mean at 10 o'clock. Not very many people cleared their plates, no one was impressed and by the end of the night everyone said they probably would never return. People were literally ready to walk out on their bill because nothing should take 2 hours when you are ready to leave. The staff was nice, and we still had a decent time together but other than that, alot of training needs to be done. And if the deposit can't be refunded, then please stop collecting them. Beware if you are a large group and not paying on one check.

We have a new favorite place when we visit Jacksonville! Brie was fabulous waitress, even though it was an extremely busy night (payday Friday)!!! The sweet potato tots are great for dessert! (I know they are a side, but great as dessert.)

I ordered the crab fries, catfish and grits with a blueberry crown drink. The crab fries were good and would order them again. The catfish and grits were good but the grits came out lukewarm and there were not really collards on the meal. The collards were more of a small garish and had a lot of stem vs leaves so I could not really get a true taste of them. The fish came out hot and was fried perfectly. The drink had too much sour mix. We sat at the bar and our bartender name Justice, she was nice but very slow. People beside us mentioned the same and it wasn’t super busy during that time. My friend had the bang-bang shrimp which were delicious and the rattlesnake shrimp pasta which she said was good. I would go back and try something else.

Bethany was by far the best waiter. I can’t believe she is able to manage the bar and having tables and the same time. She really is amazing and is able to efficiently manage both. She is someone who is so dedicated to her job! I would recommend her anytime!
