Mar 2024:This place is great at a lovely low cost. Lots of lovely south dishes to choose from and if you’re feeling on the healthier end they have salads and a variety of veggies. Family friendly and the service is excellent!

Not many times will I rate a restaurant like this but I have zero complaints. This golden corral was awesome. Food was great, service was timely, and was really clean.
My son and I were visiting family in NC, we are coming from San Diego CA, this Golden Corral compared to the one we know in EL Cajon CA, there is no comparison. The one in CA is filthy, flies all over the place tasteless food we have not been there in a long time. When my cousin took us to this one in NC, I didn't say anything but I was kind of disappointed but ready for the challenge..OMG, it was awesome, clean, great food, polite employees.Golden Corral Corporation should do something about the franchise in El Cajon CA.

The only reason I posted the one star is because Stephanie was a kind and lovely waitress. I would never come back here, the food has gotten worse since I was here a decade ago. The tuna had no taste, the corn muffin wrapper was stuck to the bread and was incredibly stale. The baked potato was brown, very unappetizing to look at, I've never seen a potato that brown, as if it was sitting there for days. The bread was a tough, I guess I came a little later, but I wasted my money. It cost $16 per person not including the 2.99 drinks. I barely liked the funnel cake, it was not fresh. The baked ziti was overcooked. The cheese sauce that came out the pump looked disgusting and nearly brown. There nothing I liked on my plate. I came with high hopes because I used to love this place, so I was very disappointed. If your food is not fresh, do not charge people this much.

First buffet trip since pandemic and I must admit that this was the best GC that I've ever been to. Almost everything tasted delicious. Unfortunately, I came down with a stomach virus the next day! It was awful and I don't know what caused it. I won't be going to another buffet anytime soon. But it was good going in.
