We stopped here (4 seniors) on a trip back from OBX. We were looking for a non-franchise place to spend our cash. They have a limited menu of various hot dogs or paninis (and a salad offering) and the food is very inexpensive. We prepared ourselves for the worst and were very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Bonus for those so interested - lots of old-time pinball machines available. Also, plenty of Marine memorabilia. Good place for some quick, inexpensive food.

My wife and I happened to Google hot dogs near me while we were Christmas shopping. We stumbled across a Gem! Beer on tap, multiple pin ball machines, good comfort food, and of course good all beef hot dogs with all toppings! We will be back.

This place is fantastic. The atmosphere is very laid back and fun. Lots of beer choices. I got a gone AWOL hot dog and it was great. I love love LOVE the pinball machines. Will definitely be back regularly.

First time visit, the impressions are very good. Welcoming and kind staff. Encouraged us to relax and watch the movies they had playing. The Cafes food smells great and they have a good beer selection.

Good sandwich. I was only in town for 1 night, and the reviews I read were positive. I was not disappointed. I would have probably gotten a beer, but there were not any prices that I could see for alcohol. I hate asking for prices. They should be listed somewhere.

Wish I would’ve tried this place earlier, been here over 2 years and finally stopped in today and this place is awesome. Great customer service, great place to just chill and relax while enjoying cheap food and good different kinds of beers if your into that. Will def be back.

Went here on a day I had nothing going on just to check it out. I had a pretty damn good experience. Alex, and Dalton we’re working and they were awesome. The food is not only dirt cheap, it’s good as all hell. Plenty of good beer selection and good pinball games to play. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I totally would.

Walked in just to see what it was about, greeted happily by the workers, clean place, great military decorations, food menu names are also great! Variety of drinks, many I haven’t heard of. Definitely recommend if you’re passing through or for marines stationed here.

The Gone AWOL Cafe is exactly what I wish I had where I live. Chill place with fantastic bar staff, friendly atmosphere, and pinball machines to display my lack of prowess. Highly recommend this place.

Great stop on on the drive from Virginia to South Carolina. So good we are already planning the return trip stop in a week. Service was impeccable and food/beers were awesome and no one is ever going to beat this place on price. Ambiance (music/decor) was on point and a great tribute to our active duty and veteran service members.
