Very nice bakery cake taste great very friendly people however i ordered a cake for my moms birthday 1/29/19 a yellow cake buttercream frosting and fresh strawberry filling in the middle. The portion of cake balance with the filling was horrible there was less than a hall of inch of strawberry filling between the two layer 8 inch circle cake. I was very disappointed and so was everyone else however they are a nice bakery and the cakes are pretty good. This was my second purchase from them. Very disappointment especially seeing this is my moms favorite cake type.

They called to say they couldn't make my cake because of Florence, I gave them more time just Incase the electric would come back in knowing they were unsure if they could make the cake. Two days later and the water is still rising and all roads are closed. We were forced to move the wedding to Raleigh, the venue and all the homes we had rented were badly damaged and accessible. Every other local merchant understood they could not accommodate us and or we could not get to them and refunded us during this stressful time. Not American dream cakes. They got power and told us we could come get the cake, well from Raleigh that was impossible. They refuse a refund. For a cake they couldn't even promise and one they didn't even make. Keeping my full payment for something that didn't cost them anything is wrong. Beware, there are plenty of Cake makers out there that are honest and understanding especially during such an awful act of Mother Nature and my son's wedding being ruined. Zero compassion for a Small town community based business. Look elsewhere before hiring them to do your dream cake, you may not get a cake but you will have paid for it months in advance.

I have to say, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Not only was the cake delicious the service was absolutely amazing! They even stayed open an extra 5 minutes after closing to help me out because the weather was deteriorating. This has been the third year in a row that we've ordered cake at this location and it has yet to disappoint. Keep it up and we'll keep coming back. Thank you again.

Ahhhh This will diff me my go to for deserts and custom made cakes! Oh dear someone help me as this place needs to have a treadmill inside for those who wish to eat a cupcake and walk at the same time! The owners are very friendly and are willing to work with you on any pastry project you are looking for. Upon walking in it smelled so good and of course fresh cakes and such baking and setting out on the counters! As you can tell I get excited about cupcakes hell deserts! In my honest opinion I've not been to another bakery in Jacksonville that can top this one. The prices are well within range and reasonable. What I like about this place is that they have a variety of treats and you could walk in one day and see x items and the next few days something else! It's never the same which is awesome. The cakes , cupcakes are moist and just delicious. If you are in the market for a birthday cake or any event come by and check them out. You won't regret it and best of all you can have a one of a kind cake and not a replica cake everyone else has which to me is like Walmart. This place will knock your socks off with good treats and sweets!! Slainte!!

My husband ordered a cake from here for my 21st birthday. And he's not really one to say anything bad about places. but when he came out to the car he said he wasn't really impressed so i looked at the cake myself and it look like a 90th grandma birthday cake with light pink roses on it and my name wasn't even spelled right on it. This cake looked like something you would buy at walmart. For half the cost. it was definitely not worth 50 dollars.
I had a cake made for my husband's birthday today. It was my first time here and the cake was so fresh, good, and beautiful. Food is a 5 but overall a 3.5 because the lady who took my order on the phone was rude. Customers don't like going to places with rude employees. It deters us from coming back.

After being screwed over by Walmart bakery, my husband and i had to search for a place to make our sons smash and birthday cake. With only a week in advance the bakery took our custom order and had it ready for pick up the day before the party. Not only did the cakes look AMAZING, they tasted just as great as they looked! This will be the only bakery we use while stationed here. Highly recommend this bakery!

Yesterday, I stopped by for a treat and it was our first time at this bakery. I asked for 2 chocolate cupcakes and 1 red velvet cupcake. When I got home I realized that the lady helping me mistakenly gave me an orange chocolate cupcake instead of the red velvet. At first I was frustrated with the mistake.... I am never really order any type of fruit desserts. I didn't plan to complain or anything since it was an honest mistake, I'm just more of a chocolate / red velvet kinda girl. Lol. But then my husband and I ate the cupcake and it was AMAZING!!!! I'm so glad she made the mistake now hahahahaha. I think that could possibly be one of my most favor to cupcakes I've ever eaten!!! We will definitely be back

I absolutely LOVE their cupcakes! They made our cupcake cake for our wedding and it was gorgeous, tasted amazing, and EXACTLY what I pictured. But I don't just have that experience with them, I often go in for a sweet treat and they remember me! And my favorites.

My husband and I visited American Dream Cakes today, we'd heard of them and who doesn't like baked goods? We were pretty disappointed with both the cupcake and cannoli we tried. The cupcake was dry and the frosting was so sweet it wasn't edible. It tastes store bought. The cannoli cream was flavorless and the shell left a bad taste in my mouth. We won't be going back.
