Hakata Teppanyaki, Sushi, and Ramen

Credit card machine was down. Cash only...at 30 bucks a plate. If you have a large party, bring several Ben Franklin's. Out of zucchini, out of filet. Pepsi was flat. Didn't stay for further disappointment.

Title: Unacceptable Service and Poor Management

I was really looking forward to dining here, but this experience was beyond disappointing. First, they were completely out of steak, which was a major letdown. They offered filet mignon instead and promised a discount, but when the bill came, they only gave a measly $24 off—not nearly enough to justify the inconvenience.

To make matters worse, we had to wait an hour and a half for our chef to arrive. That’s just unacceptable. By the time he finally showed up, the excitement had completely worn off. On top of all that, they were also out of tea and several types of sake, which just added to the frustration.

For the prices they charge, I expected much better service, better management, and a more well-stocked restaurant. This was a total disappointment, and I won’t be coming back.

Walked in to a musky and damp smelling restaurant. Saw the 81 sanitation score and walked right back out. Do you know how much food and health safety a place has to fail to get that kind of score?! Was not going to risk food poisoning. Will not go back

Hakata was our family birthday celebration dinner place to go. It has really gone downhill since our last visit. 40 minutes to get a table, then an hour and 10 minutes before our chef came to the table. He was entertaining. Food was just ok. Nothing like the past. No house dressing for the salad, and no scallops. So my meal wasn't what I was looking forward to. Won't be going back.

Inside was a little cold. I guess mainly because they didn't have many hibatichi grills going but the Ramen was great! I'll be back to try the sushi...they have some enticing options. Bar tended who took car of me went above and beyond.

The Chefs were great and so was the food. Very accommodating of our large group including excellent service for the adults and the kids. Looking forward to our next chance to go!

This review is only regarding the initial service and atmosphere. We did not stay for the food.

The initial entry was welcoming aside from it being hotter inside than outside on a 90° day.
Service was a bit slow and with the heat I would have recommended ice water at the table pretty quickly.
When we decided to leave, the waitress was very understanding.
Either wait until the ac is fixed or for colder weather.

I got sushi to go. The employee on the phone was very sweet & helpful, but the sushi was not good, especially for the price. I got a tuna roll & some fancier shrimp one. The fish tasted old, & the fancy sauce just wasn't tasty.

I don't know if they use different wasabi, but I liked it more than usual. Rolls were good and they have an amazing plum wine.

The food here is always amazing. The chefs are always so fun. Our family loves coming here.
