*Mission BBQ is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! The real smoked country cooking is authentic and flavorful, and the prices are very good—much more affordable than other smokehouses I’ve visited. The customer service was amazing from start to finish, and I was so impressed by how outstandingly clean the entire restaurant was. A huge bonus is having a full selection of sauces right on the table so you can try them all! Beyond the food, the decor is incredibly inspiring; the walls are covered in patches from military, police, and firefighters from all over the USA. It’s a wonderful tribute to our service members and creates such a meaningful atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by! Oh did I forget to mention they have a Salute at 12pm everyday so come join!!

I’ve watched a good amount of videos of foreigners eating REAL barbecue and I had to order some to see if those reactions are real. I’ve ordered food from the Mission in Jacksonville and Wilmington and the staff at both establishments were being awesome. Both places were exceptionally clean and well lit both inside and out. They were very patient and’s courteous to a first timer. I’m not too fond of the cornbread but their green beans are top tier. I purchased the jumbo loaded baked potato, I’m not sure why I was surprised to find out that the potato was smoked but it was a great surprise. The amount of food you get is worth more than what you pay. I DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone wanting great bbq.

Such a nice place to enjoy some great food. Menu is very expansive, from pulled chicken, pulled pork, brisket, turkey, burgers, fries, coleslaw, cornbread and more. Large dining room. Relaxed environment. Staff is so nice. There's usually a staff member that comes around to all the tables to see if you need anything & they are super helpful. Recommend.

I did a takeout order on sat 10/4 at 5:20 at the Jacksonville NC store The potato salad was below par hard potatoes The 1/2 brisket pound was ok alot of burnt ends Whoever sliced my order served me sub par cut of brisket for $13.89 You can do better than this BOO to you
Pulled up at 8 pm and doors locked and staff cleaning . sign says close at 9 pm. Pathetic...

Mission BBQ always provides a consistently good BBQ selection and the patriotic theme is more than just window dressing. The BBQ chicken sandwich was a heaping mound of gently pulled chicken on a substantial bun. Flavor was smokey and very succulent. With a side of fries and brisket baked beans, I didn’t bother with the bun.
