Mission BBQ always provides a consistently good BBQ selection and the patriotic theme is more than just window dressing. The BBQ chicken sandwich was a heaping mound of gently pulled chicken on a substantial bun. Flavor was smokey and very succulent. With a side of fries and brisket baked beans, I didn’t bother with the bun.

Was thinking about using mission BBQ to cater our wedding. Thought we would try it out. Not disappointed!! The food, and service was top notch. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. WILL DEFINITELY BE USING MISSION BBQ TO CATER OUR WEDDING!!! Can't say enough about the food. Perfectly prepared!! Tender, juicy, and the brisket... omg.!!
Went here with my husband as a weekend date night, spent $43 on crappy dry brisket, served on multiple day old bread, so stale it wouldn’t even absorb any sauce put on it. They gave us the smallest portion of Mac and cheese you’ve ever seen in your life, not much bigger than a 2 oz sauce container. The only slightly decent thing was their sweet potato mash, and even that was bland and served so cold the brown sugar wouldn’t even melt into it. It was an hour before close, and I understand that they’re getting ready to close, but the service was terrible and the food was disgusting. Will not be eating here again.
Order 10 bone ribs, got 9 and the last 3 were tiny not even half of a regular size. Better off ordering 5 next time

The smoked Brisket should be renamed as smoked brillo pads. The Brisket was extremely dry, tough, and flavorless. As a restaurant chain, I don't expect the same quality as a stand alone smokehouse but this was worse than a poor attempt. The sides were subpar at best. The macaroni and cheese was more like a soup. I'm convinced that the lack of "decent" eating options in Jacksonville, NC is the only reason this location is still in business.
