I moved to Jacksonville 2 years ago. At that time, Moore's was one of my favorite places to eat. But over time, their quality has dropped and now they are very inconsistent. One day it may be fine and the next day you're served food that's old, dry, or uneatable. I can only hope they fix whatever internal issues they're having and get back to cooking great food.
I had an excellent dinner tonight at Moore's. I had the shrimp platter with macaroni and cheese and coleslaw and it was all delicious. Their portions of shrimp and sides were generous and the hush puppies were fantastic, hot, crisp and light. The best part of the meal though was a young lady at the window who was prompt courteous and super friendly
The restaurant was very clean, and the environment was very welcoming, but being a new customer to the MOORE'S food and menu options it was difficult for me to make a confident food order for myself.
