This place is worth checking out. The tallow fries were amazing. I think this would be a great place to meet with friends for a celebration. $18ish for a burger fries and a canned drink.

Food: We have been to Overruled multiple times now and make it a point to try a new menu item each time. Every. Single. Item. is so obviously carefully curated for the best flavor combinations. Hot, freshly prepared, and generous portions.

The environment: EXACTLY what we've been missing in the Jacksonville area- a laid-back, family-friendly place to hang out and eat amazing food! The staff are always exceptionally friendly which just makes the whole experience so great.

Our favorites? The Windy City Glizzy, Hell's Kitchen Heater, and literally any of the limited time items (look for the pickled deviled eggs!).

This was such a fun little restaurant to check out! My husband and I had lunch here and the food was full of flavor and the perfect textures and the staff were fun to talk with. While the menu at first seems small, it offers the perfect options without being too much. We both had burgers and shared a tray of specialty fries. It was all delicious and we left with the perfect fullness you want from lunch. The best part was that they use beef tallow to fry their foods! We cant wait to go back and try their hot dogs next!

Wow, wow, wow!!! I think I found the ONLY place I will get burgers in Jacksonville, NC from here on out!! Great atmosphere, the shishito samurai fries are insane, the Hell's Kitchen Heater was cooked perfectly and delicious! Music is cool, seating is cool, everything at Overruled Smash Burgers is cool! Spent $25, would have spent $50!

Hands down the best smash burgers that my wife and I have had in the Jacksonville area. Burgers were top tier! On top of that we got a hotdog to try as well and let me say, it did not disappoint. French fries tied to whole meal together as well. Whatever sauce they provide for the fries is also to die for! Overall, we did not have a single thing here that we did not love. Be warned, a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it!

This place is cool, the food is great. Curry ketchup for the win. I devoured my food. I wish they would let you smoke while eating outside. It's unenclosed, no fence or anything. So smoking while seated is not allowed but someone walking by can smoke. It's 2026, I think they should reconsider the enforcement of that rule. It's literally a sidewalk area and I can roll coal 5' from the door of the place. Other than that I think the place is really awesome 😎 Genuinely good food.
